You woke up to your phone buzzing on Jeff’s nightstand. Montgomery was calling you. “Shit…” You cursed pushing Jeff’s arms off of you and rushed out of the room. “Hey Monty.” You said in a low voice afraid that the others may hear you.
“Did I wake you up?” He said in a concerned voice.
“No, don’t worry.” You reassured him as you walked out in the garden and sat down in one of the chairs. You took a deep breath before you spoke again. “How are you?” It was awkward, you never talked on the phone.
“M good now that I heard your voice, princess.” He said. Wait did he just call you princess? Your cheeks turned into a bright red shade and your heart took a crazy race in your chest because of him. You kept talking mostly about what you did the night before. “You didn’t get too wild while away from me uh?” He said in an amused tone and you just chuckled softly telling him that your thoughts were all about him but you did enjoy this evening with your friends. You closed your eyes for a moment while listening to him telling you how it was at Bryce’s. His voice was soft and still a bit sleepy, and oddly enough made you relax. A breeze made you shiver and you realized you were only wearing Jeff’s t-shirt, you brought your legs to your chest and kept listening to your boyfriend’s adventure when Bryce brought some college girls and tried to set him up with one of them.
You sighed and frowned. “I really hope you kept your hands to yourself, Cruz.” He couldn’t contain his laugh and you realized you pulled your first jealous comment on him.
“Is my princess jealous?” He teased you. Even though you couldn’t see him, you knew he was smiling. Probably the same smile he had when you first went to the dockside together. That smile made you weak in the knees and sent shivers through your whole body. You just chuckled, shaking your head. “I played video games with Zach the whole time. Didn’t give them a single look.”
“I knew you wouldn’t have done something wrong.” You shifted on the chair, pushing down the t-shirt so it covered your legs. “You wanna drop by my place this afternoon? We can watch a movie or something.” You nervously asked.
“And your parents?”
“Out of town for the weekend.”
“And Jeff?”
You giggled. “Would you say yes already, Monty?”
“I would love to, princess.” You sighed in relief. Besides Jeff, you never had a boy come to your house, and just thinking about Montgomery and you, alone in your place, your hands started shaking.
“(Y/N)? What are you doing outside?”
“Morning Jess.” You said, your phone still against your ear. Montgomery started laughing just knowing you were caught talking on the phone with him. “As you can tell I am talking on the phone.” You added with a smile, trying to hide your panic.
“Is it your secret boyfriend?” She asked with a grin.
You rolled your eyes at her, entertained by her determination to know what was going on with you. “Seriously?” She just winked at you and walked back inside the house. You brought your attention back to Montgomery who was still laughing. “You find this funny, uh?” You chuckled.
“You’re so cute when you panic.”
“I’ll show cute when we see each other, Cruz.” You said in an amused tone.
“Can’t wait, princess.” With this, you told him to come to your house by seven that afternoon and you hung up the phone before you walked inside. Jeff was making pancakes while Sheri and Clay were busy cleaning the living room. You wrapped your arms around your best friend’s waist and pressed a kiss on his nude back.
“Good morning, handsome.” You whispered running your fingers on his perfect chest.
“Morning, sweetheart.” He responded and gripped your wrist to pull you in front of him, blocking you between him and the counter. “I woke up without you by my side…” He frowned.
“I am sorry, Jeff. Mom called me and I didn’t want to wake you up talking in the room.” You apologized, giving him your best puppy eyes that you knew he couldn’t resist for too long. He smiled and kissed your forehead. You helped him finish the pancakes and set breakfast ready for everyone.
You had lunch with Jeff at Rosie’s and he then dropped you home. You got under the shower, relaxing your muscles under the steaming hot water and after that, you laid on your bed, wrapped in a big fluffy towel. One thought after the other, and suddenly, you thought about your scars, anxiety filling your mind. What if you did more than just kissing with Montgomery and he saw them? He would just be instantly turned off. They were visible. You walked to your closet, picking a simple set of underwear, plain and black. You didn’t have fancy ones because you never expected anyone to see you in them, again because of those scars. You looked at yourself in the mirror and your eyes immediately dropped on them. Two lines on each side of your belly button, kidney transplants. Then the one you hated the most was your liver transplant one. It was big, started on top of your stomach, and spread in two lines in the middle of it. You sighed and quickly got dressed, not wanting to see them anymore.
The doorbell rang when you finally put the lasagna you made in the oven. You quickly made your way to the door, tidying your hair before you opened it with a big smile. “Hey princess.” You pulled him inside, pressing a soft kiss on his lips. “Someone missed me, here.” He chuckled and leaned for another kiss, his hands gripping your hips pulling you closer to him. And that was it. You felt good, all your worries and negative thoughts floating away from your mind. Dinner went perfectly well. You made quite an impression on him with your cooking skills. “Is there something you can’t do, (Y/N)? Because damn it, you’re fucking perfect.” He whispered burying his face in your neck as you put the dishes in the dishwasher.
You giggled, feeling ticklish all of a sudden. “Monty…” He grinned against your skin and breathed again, you shifted and tried to push him away but the guy was way stronger than you. “Montgomery… Please.” You laughed.
“My princess is ticklish uh?” He chuckled.
“I am not.” You tried to lie so he would let go of you but it didn’t work. Instead, he kept breathing against your neck, his hands firmly pressed on your stomach pinning you against him. “Alright… Fine… I am ticklish as hell, babe, stop please.” You laughed without even noticing how you called him but he did. He heard you and you didn’t know it, but you made his heartbeat ten times faster in his chest. He made you face him, his hands moving from your stomach to your back.
“Say it again.”
For a second you were confused but then you realized it and you blushed. Again. You should keep track of how many times he made you blush or send shivers down your whole body because it happened pretty much every time he looked at you, touched you, kissed you, hell even when he talked to you, he drove your body out of control. You looked away but his hand came under your chin and made you look at him again.
“Please…” He whispered.
“Babe…” That was everything he needed to hear at that moment. And he was kissing you once more. A soft but demanding kiss, his hands gripping you harder and pressing you closer to his body until there was no space between you and your arms were locked around his neck. Everything went quiet around you that you forgot you were in the middle of your kitchen, pressed between the counter and Montgomery de la Cruz, Greek god of Liberty High, losing your mind to this kiss that just got harder and deeper, sending shivers down your spine and setting your whole body on fire. You had to pull away at one point, your heart about to stop beating and your lungs in desperate need of air. You rested your forehead against his chest, hiding your red face from him and trying to steady your breath. Each time you kissed, you discovered new feelings, your body reacted in a more intense way each time he pressed his lips against yours.
“How about we move this somewhere else?” He breathed against your ear and you tensed. He was clearly turned on and you… Well, you were scared as hell because he was going to see your scars at some point tonight and you were pretty sure, he would just leave and ask you to forget anything that ever happened between you. At least, you could write down somewhere in your journal that you and Montgomery de la Cruz had a week full of emotions and feelings, that he was a pretty good kisser, and that he called you princess.
As you were thinking, you made your way to your bedroom, holding his hand. “Monty there’s something you need to know before we go further.” You blurted out when he was about to kiss you again.
“What it is, princess?”
“Look, I … I..” You were shaking. “My body ain’t pretty, Montgomery.”
“From what I see, you’re damn beautiful.” He said with a grin looking up and down your figure.
“It’s from what you can’t actually see…” You whispered looking down at your shaking hands. “I have health issues and I have had several surgeries that left ugly scars on my body.” Tears quickly filled your eyes. “Trust me you don’t want to see this.” You were trying to push him away so you wouldn’t have to face his look if he eventually saw them.
He cupped your face and pressed his lips to yours, tears were now streaming down your face. “How about you let me have my own opinion on them, uh?” He said when he pulled away, his thumbs wiping away your tears. You just nodded. He sat down on the edge of your bed, eyes not leaving you as you took a deep breath and took off your t-shirt, your hands automatically went to cover your stomach but he stopped you, pulling you in front of him. “Let me see, princess… Please.” You let your arms fall on each side of your body and his eyes scanned your belly. His face was right in front of it, his fingers traced over them, in the most delicate way possible. “You’re right about something.”
“What?” Your voice cracked and a sob escaped from your lips.
“Your body ain’t pretty.” He looked up at you with a smile. Tears started running down your cheeks once more, you knew it. “Your body is perfection.” Your confused and wet look made him chuckle before he pressed warm kisses on each one of your scars. “How could you even think of me ditching you away for scars that saved your sexy ass?” You smiled, not having the energy to say a word. He ran his fingers on them in the most delicate way and kissed them again. How did you get this lucky? He took off his own t-shirt, taking your breath away with it, and pulled you down so you were straddling his lap. He rested his hands on your sides. “Tell me where we left things earlier…” He whispered kissing your neck and now exposed chest. You giggled when he flipped you on your back, his hands running up and down your sides. “Something funny, missy?” He said with a soft smile.
You just giggled even more. “I am freaking ticklish, you idiot, get your hands somewhere else if you don’t want me to laugh even more”. But like earlier, he didn’t and tickled you even more and blew kisses on your stomach making you laugh harder. He just watched you, enjoying the cute show you were giving him. “Babe, come on…” You were out of breath. He stopped. “So that’s the thing with you, uh?” You grinned.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He said playfully.
“Babe…” He kissed you again, smiling against your lips when you ran your hands on his arms, shoulders, and through his hair. Whatever he had planned for both of you was long forgotten and you just ended up cuddling in your bed. You changed into his t-shirt, tossed away your jeans, and made your way back to bed. He was lying there, in his jeans, watching you.
“When I thought you were already hot, there you are even hotter in my clothes.” You bit your lower lip and blushed. “Come here, baby girl.” He pulled you against his chest, pressing a soft kiss on your forehead. You talked for hours, just resting in his arms, listening to his heartbeat, and tracing random patterns on his bare chest. You drifted to sleep without noticing it, he adjusted himself so you were lying more comfortably in his arms and pulled the blanket over the two of you. “Good night princess.” He whispered before closing his eyes as well.
