When Orion was two years old, he vanished. Two months later, he was returned without a word, without a scratch—and without his mother, who had taken her own life in his absence. Blamed for her death, Orion grew up under his father’s violent hand, each day a cycle of pain and silence.
Two scars mark his back. He doesn’t know how they got there—until the night he turns seventeen.
In an explosion of agony and blood, wings erupt from beneath his skin, ripping through muscle and memory alike. Horrified, he tries to destroy them. But they grow back. And they bring questions that won't stay buried.
When Orion meets others like him—survivors of childhood disappearances, each with strange abilities and fractured pasts—he uncovers a dark truth: none of them came back unchanged. And the people who made them this way? They might still be watching.

"Pull me up ya twat!" He said, rapidly tugging on the tug excessively, much, much more than five times."I SAID PULL ME UP TWAT!" He shouted, despite knowing not a single soul could hear his constant shouting near 200 meters down. I knew I shouldn't have trusted that rusty old geezer to actually have is head screwed on right. He said, now sitting down, trying to calm down while still constantly tugging on the rope.Just then, he felt a slight shake in the dive bell that quickly turned into a violent shaking, knocking him around all which way, giving him a deep gash in his hand as his hand quickly was pulled off the rope, causing very bloody rope burn."What the fuck is going on up there?" He said in a somewhat quiet but shaky and concerned tone. Once the shaking came to a short halt, he felt the dive bell slowly ascend as his dive bell continued to shake violently, tossing him around every which way. "Holy shit!" He said before his head bashed into the side of the dive bell, knocking him unconscious.Once his eyes opened, the dive bell had stopped shaking, but it felt unstable. Every time he made even the smallest movement, he heard an eerie creak coming from outside. He calmly stood up before he felt his oxygen slowly seep from his throat. His lungs felt empty, his throat closed, and his legs and arms immediately gave up before he fell to the floor once again. Shortly after, he felt air entering his body again, and felt his muscles and blood properly running through his body before his muscles and lungs gained control again. He stood up one more time before he opened the hatch to the dive bell, still hearing the eerie creaking, and as he stepped outside to an unfamiliar, almost rustic and decrepit metal platform, he looked up once more and saw an absolutely horrifying sight. The sight of his once bright, (of course, a bit of an exaggeration,) oil rig, now rusty and falling apart that looked like as if hell itself had come from the shadows and aged the thing five-hundred or so years, probably even more.
"What... The fuck..."
The idea for the Luke Obsidian Series sparked from a late-night thought: what if the supernatural wasn't glamorous, but a source of deep-seated family obligation and personal conflict? "Luke Obsidian and the First Blood," which I started writing on May 5th, 2025, explores this tension through the eyes of seventeen-year-old Luke, a reluctant Oathbearer caught between a world he resents and a terrifying mystery that threatens everything he knows. Get ready for secrets, mythical creatures, and a whole lot of reluctant heroism!
For seventeen-year-old Luke Obsidian, the world is divided: the Supernatural, blessed (or cursed) with divine gifts, and the untouched, ordinary humans he can barely tolerate – especially Jasper Greco, his sister's best friend. But when a chilling series of blood-drained bodies surfaces, Luke's immediate suspicion falls on a dangerous cult. As his family gets drawn into a terrifying mystery, long-held secrets begin to unravel, forcing Luke to confront his prejudices and a threat far older and more powerful than he could have imagined. With his siblings' unique powers and the enigmatic help of a lazy warlock, Luke must navigate a world teeming with mythical creatures and ancient grudges, all while trying to understand the true cost of his own divine gift.
