The idea for the Luke Obsidian Series sparked from a late-night thought: what if the supernatural wasn't glamorous, but a source of deep-seated family obligation and personal conflict? "Luke Obsidian and the First Blood," which I started writing on May 5th, 2025, explores this tension through the eyes of seventeen-year-old Luke, a reluctant Oathbearer caught between a world he resents and a terrifying mystery that threatens everything he knows. As the story continues, Alissia begins to see the downsides to her power while her group seeks the final two Primordials and builds an alliance with the Watchers to counter Avarice's forces. Meanwhile, Tymon and Za'Fia focus their efforts on personally making Avarice's favorable position much worse, however, Verin has malign plans of her own. As each individual moves forward with their agenda, the war between the groups is finally sparked.

Lost in the depths of the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park, Ranger Kates meets a mysterious hermit who may very well have a connection with the decade-old legend of the Ghost of Ontario.

The opportunity comes when she and her partner, Ranger Amelia, attend the 24-Hour Ghost of Ontario Challenge in the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park. Legend has it that a ghost haunts it with his mysterious lullaby, "Lucilla", and the only way to connect with him is for two individuals to brave the lakes.

Ihaan never expected to find Ranger Kate on Red Squirrel Lake, said to be the birthplace of the ghost. He and his eagle friend, Ro, band together to win her trust, which is crucial for Ihaan's Guardian Trial. It's the only way for him to learn whether he is truly dead or not.
