Analysis
Dosu, the last and third spy sent by Orochimaru, was part of the last battle of the second phase. Since the first two had already been eliminated, it came as no surprise when Dosu overcame Choji to get past the Chunin Exam. Choji put up a fierce fight, but in the end, he brought himself down. Choji loses the match and realises he has a lot of work to do if he wants to become a strong ninja.
Some of the qualifying Genin from the Hidden Leaf Village are Sasuke, Naruto, Neji, Shikamaru, and Shino. They are allowed to leave for a month of training before the finals. At that moment, Naruto sees this as an opportunity to become stronger than he is now; hence, he is determined to win the finals. This is why he meets with Kakashi in hopes of training him, but he is given Ebisu instead. If you don’t remember Ebisu, he is Konohamaru’s mentor and appeared in Season 1: Episode 2, where he remarked that Naruto is a bad influence on Konohamaru. Moreover, he is the one Naruto defeated using Sexy Jutsu; hence, Naruto is disappointed that Ebisu would be training him.
Orochimaru still has his eyes on Sasuke because he wants to use him as his vessel. This is why Kabuto prepared to kidnap Sasuke. However, he was stopped by Kakashi, which forced him to retreat. Although Sasuke was saved by Kakashi, this will not stop Orochimaru from getting Sasuke as his vessel. Therefore, there is an intense atmosphere surrounding this episode because we are not aware of Orochimaru’s plans yet. In other words, it makes us curious and eager to watch the next episode.
