More Information concerning the history of the Hyuga clan
Hitachi Hyuga and Hiashi Hyuga were twin brothers. Hiashi Hyuga is the older brother of Hizachi Hyuga. According to history, the younger brother is supposed to protect his older brother, who is from the main branch. The main branch, which consists of Hiashi Hyuga and Hinata Hyuga, is known to be the upper class. The side branch, which consists of Hizachi Hyuga and Neji Hyuga, is known to be from the lower class. Therefore, that is why they have the curse mark, because it serves as a way of ensuring that they protect the main branch. Therefore, that is why Neji’s father had to die to protect the main branch because it’s the side branch’s destiny to protect the main branch no matter what.

Back to Analysis:
This is why Neji reaffirms his belief in the unchanging nature of one’s destiny. He believes he can’t change his destiny and considers it imprisonment. Moreover, it explains why he hates the main branch, hence why he is very cruel to Hinata. Furthermore, Neji’s destiny to protect the main branch is similar to that of Naruto, who has the nine-tailed fox sealed inside of him to protect the village. They both are stuck in their destiny, yet the difference between them is that Naruto looks at the positive side of one day becoming the Hokage that protects the village. He is already indirectly protecting the village since he has the nine tails sealed inside of him. Neji, on the other hand, considered his destiny as imprisonment, which caused him to harbour hatred for everyone at the main branch, even Hinata. Will Naruto change Neji’s perspective about destiny? Only time will tell.
The next episode will show Naruto’s response to Neji’s story; hence, there’s suspense.
