Rock Lee’s flashback:
When Lee failed to do the transformation jutsu, Guy sensei encouraged him to keep on trying; hence, it was the first time he met Guy sensei.
On that very same spot, he is sitting, and that’s where he made a vow to become a ninja who specialises in taijutsu.
Might Guy was the one who believed in Lee when no one else did. He also told Rock Lee that he was a genius at hard work.
All of these flashbacks were shown in the episode to clearly illustrate the bond between Rock Lee and Might Guy. It is one of the reasons why Might Guy considers him his son. It is also one of the reasons why Rock Lee looks up to Might Guy very much. He is the first person to believe in Rock Lee’s dreams; hence, the relationship between them is that of a father and son.

The bond between Might Guy and Rock Lee is tremendous in the sense that Might Guy is willing to sacrifice his life if the surgery is not successful. This is because his nindo, his ninja way, was to train Lee to become the best ninja possible. This is a very emotional moment, as supported by the visual imagery of Rock Lee’s tears. Moreover, it makes the audience feel like crying because it is one of the most emotional moments in the anime “Naruto”. Rock Lee’s dream is to become the best ninja who specialises in taijutsu. Lee and Might Guy cannot survive without the ninja way to guide them; hence, Lee decides to have the surgery.
Tsunade, meanwhile, manages to increase the odds of Lee’s survival to 58% and is satisfied that Lee will most likely survive the operation. An element of hope is shown in the episode because there is still a chance that Lee can be a ninja again. Therefore, there is a positive atmosphere surrounding this episode.
Tsunade is inaugurated as Hokage, and the role of the village’s protector is passed on to her. Tsunade said these words: “From this day on, I will protect the Hidden Leaf Village as the fifth Hokage”. Tsunade is officially the fifth Hokage, and she will protect the Hidden Leaf Village no matter what because that is her “will of fire.”
Season 2 has ended on a positive note because Tsunade is officially the fifth Hokage, and Lee is likely to have a successful surgery.
