A/N: Outfit and hairstyle for the chapter. Ignore the necklace and bag
Today was Adrien's birthday. Lily was totally excited to give him his gift. She worked hard on her gift to him. Last week, she managed to convince Gabriel to let Adrien have a birthday party at her house with their classmates. Lily hoped that this plan will prevent Nino from becoming Akumatized. She had spent a week with Chloe, Sabrina and Nino, getting Adrien a present. Nino and the girls were happy with the ones they got for him. She also received the presents that Felix and Zoe had sent to her. So she wrapped them up and placed them in her room until the party.
Françoise Dupont High School
Adrien and Nino were at their lunch table. Lily, Chloe and Sabrina walked over to their table and sat down.
"You excited for your birthday party later, Adrien?" Lily asked.
"Definitely! I'm so happy to have one." Adrien smiled.
"How did you manage to convince Adrien's dad to let him have a party?" Nino asked, surprised.
Lily giggled, "Not telling!" She said.
Nino groaned and slumped his head down on his crossed arms on the table. Adrien patted his shoulder to comfort him.
"Don't worry about it, Nino. I'm able to have a party anyway." Adrien assured him.
Nino perked his head up, "True." He turned to Lily, "It's a miracle you were able to get his dad to agree."
"Seriously, how did you do it?" Adrien asked, curious.
"Oh, I have my ways." Lily grinned.
Flashback: Agreste Mansion Gate (Last Week)
Lily walked up to the gate and pressed the doorbell that sat on the wall next to the wrought iron. An unimpressed look crossed her face at the camera that shot out of the wall, a voice emanating from it.
"Yes?" A female voice asked.
"Hi, I'm Lily Rossi. I would like to talk to Gabriel Agreste." Lily greeted.
"Please, come in."
Lily watched as the camera disappeared and the gates opened seamlessly, with not a creak to be heard.
Inside Agreste Mansion
Lily had to admit that Gabriel's house decor seemed a little lifeless. Almost like no one was living here. But she also felt a ping of sadness when she saw the photo of Adrien, Gabriel and Emelie. It was truly sad of what happened to her.
"Mr. Agreste will be here in a moment." Natalie informed.
"Thank you, Miss Sancoeur." Lily thanked her.
"Just call me Miss Nathalie." Nathalie insisted.
"Alright, Miss Nathalie." Lily smiled.
"What are you doing here?" Gabriel called out.
Lily turned to see Gabriel who just stepped out of his office. He walked over and stood in front of her.
"Hello, Mr. Agreste. I'm Lily Rossi, May and John Rossi's daughter." Lily greeted.
"Lily, it's been a long time since I've last seen you. You've grown." Gabriel greeted her.
"It's good to see you too, Mr. Agreste." Lily greeted back.
"Now what are you here for?" Gabriel questioned.
"I was hoping to have your permission to have a birthday party for Adrien at my house." Lily answered.
"Why do you wish to have it at your house?" Gabriel asked, curious.
"I had a feeling that you didn't want to have a party here. Besides, it's just our classmates and my parents who are going to be attending the party," Lily explained, "If you want his bodyguard to attend, then that's fine."
Gabriel seemed to be pondering for a moment and let out a sigh, "I suppose I should let Adrien have a party since he's been wanting one for a while. I also trust that you and your parents won't let anything bad happen to Adrien. However, I have a few conditions."
"Okay, what are they?" Lily asked.
"I'll let him have his party afterschool and he must be home before 7:30 pm. His bodyguard will also be with him as well." Gabriel listed off.
"Understood, sir. Don't worry, everything be fine at the party. I'll also make sure that Adrien gets home before 7:30." Lily promised, "Also, thank you so much."
"You're welcome. Make sure that he's also safe during the party." Gabriel requested.
"I will. By the way, I know a great gift that you can give to Adrien." Lily offered.
Gabriel's brow arched, "What do you have in mind?"
"Do you have a copy of 'Solitude'?" Lily asked.
"How do know about that?" Gabriel questioned, surprised.
"My dad told me. He said you bought a copy of the film once it was finally released." Lily responded.
"I see. Why do you ask about that film?"
"Well, I think you and Adrien should watch it next weekend."
"Why do you suggest watching a movie with him is a great gift?"
"It would mean a lot to him. Being able to watch his mother's film with his dad. He will definitely enjoy it. To him, it will be the best present ever." Lily insisted.
"I agree as well, sir. Spending time with Adrien will make him very happy." Nathalie added.
Gabriel was surprised by Nathalie's answer. But both Nathalie and Lily had good thoughts for this present. He rubbed his chin while in thought. He hadn't watched the film since his wife had disappeared, and Adrien had always been wanting to watch it as well. Perhaps...it was a great idea for a present. Then he closed his eyes and nodded. He looked to Nathalie and Lily.
"I suppose you're right. Nathalie, make sure to make some time for me and Adrien next Saturday." Gabriel requested.
Nathalie nodded, "I will, sir." Then Nathalie gestured that Lily had to leave.
Lily slightly bowed to Gabriel, "Thank you so much, Mr. Agreste. I hope you and Adrien will enjoy the movie." Then she stood up and Nathalie led her to the door.
Present Time: Françoise Dupont High School
"I'm just glad that you're hosting the party, Lily." Nino said.
"Well, my parents don't mind. Also, they like to help celebrate birthday parties." Lily smiled.
"I'm excited for it. It's going to be great!" Chloe cheered.
"Luckily, Lily helped us with shopping for gifts. I'm pretty sure you'll like them." Sabrina beamed.
"I think I definitely will. But I am wondering what my dad is getting me." Adrien pondered.
"What did he say?" Nino asked.
"The only thing he said about it was that he would give it to me tomorrow." Adrien admitted.
Nino's brow arched, "Why tomorrow?"
Adrien shrugged, "Don't know."
"Well I hope it's good." Nino prayed.
"Me too." Adrien agreed.
Rossi Residence
Soon enough, school had ended and all of Lily and Adrien's classmates showed up at her house. May and John helped set up the decorations while Lily and the others were at school. May luckily picked up the cake before they started decorating. At the moment, Lily opened the door and led Adrien and the others into the dark living room.
"SURPRISE!!!" May and John shouted as they turned on the lights.
Adrien was startled for a moment before a smile appeared on his face. Behind him, his classmates also cheered behind him which made him smile even more. Lily gently grabbed his hand.
"Come on, let's get this party started!" Lily cheered.
Her parents and classmates cheered as well.
Everyone was enjoying their pieces of pizza which was different varieties. Lily had asked everyone what kind of pizza they wanted. Luckily some of them had the same tastes. Nino was in charge of the music but had to make sure that it wasn't too loud. Placide I.T. was also enjoying the pizza as he ate on the couch with Ivan, Mylene, Kim, Max and Nathaniel. The others were spread around the living room.
"Everyone, gather around! It's cake time!" John called out.
Everyone gathered at the dining table. May held a chair out for Adrien and he sat down as she helped push the chair forward. John came in with the cake with a lite candle and placed it in front of Adrien.
{A/N: Just pretend that there's a 15 shaped candle on above 'Happy' and that Adrien's name is at the bottom of 'Birthday'}
Then everyone began singing 'Happy Birthday to you' to Adrien. As they sang, Adrien felt tears in the corner of his eyes. He felt incredibly happy at this moment. He was surrounded by his friends and having a good time. Adrien glanced at Lily who was beaming happily as she sang.
"Happy birthday to youuuuuu!" Everyone sang.
"And many more!" Nino added.
"Now make a wish, Adrien." Lily said.
Adrien closed and wished, 'I wish that I'll always be surrounded by my loved ones and maybe...the girl that I like...will accept my feelings.'
Adrien took a deep breath and blew out the candles. Everyone clapped and cheered. May began cutting the cake, handed one to Adrien and then to everyone. They all enjoyed the chocolate cake even Adrien who was thrilled to have such a treat.
"Okay, presents time!" Chloe beamed.
Lily brought out hers first and gave it to Adrien, "Happy Birthday, Adrien."
He gently took the present and opened to a blue box. He opened and was surprised at what was inside.
"Wow, where did you get these, Lily?" Adrien asked.
"Actually, I made them." Lily. replied.
"Really?! They almost look like ones you can get from a store!" Adrien said as he put both bracelets on his right wrist.
Lily smiled, "Thanks, Adrien."
"Me next!" Chloe got out her present which was in a red box and handed to Adrien. He opened and smiled.
"Whoa, what a cool watch." Nino commented.
"Yeah, thank you, Chloe." Adrien smiled as he placed the watch on his left wrist.
"I knew you would like it." Chloe patted her ponytail.
"I'm next, dude." Nino handed his present to Adrien who gently took it from him. He tore the wrapping paper off to reveal a small stack of CDs.
"I've been looking everywhere for these! Where did you get them, Nino?" Adrien exclaimed.
"A DJ never reveals their secrets." Nino grinned.
Adrien smiled at that, "Thanks, Nino."
"I hope you like mine too." Sabrina handed her present to Adrien who gently took them.
Adrien tore off the wrapping paper which revealed a black colored box. He took off the lid and was surprised at what it was: a Cat Noir hoodie!
"You got me a Cat Noir hoodie, Sabrina?! I've been meaning to get one." Adrien smiled as he put on the hoodie, "Thank you, Sabrina."
"You're welcome, Adrien." Sabrina smiled.
"It suits you, Adrien." Lily commented, smiling.
Adrien's cheeks turned pink at that commented.
"Also, you got a gift from Felix and your aunt Amelie." John said.
"Really?" Adrien asked, excited.
John brought over a wrapped present to Adrien who gently took it from him. He tore off the paper to reveal a framed photo of his cousin, Felix, and his aunt Amelie with the Big Ben Tower behind them.
"Who is that?" Nino pointed at Felix.
"Oh, that's my cousin, Felix, and the woman beside him is my aunt Amelie." Adrien responded.
"Are you twin cousins or something?" Nino asked.
"Yeah, we are." Adrien confirmed.
"And here's Zoe's present." May handed the present to Adrien.
"Who's Zoe?" Alya asked.
"Zoe is my half-sister." Chloe replied.
"You have a sibling?" Kim blinked in shock.
"Yeah, she lives in New York with our mom." Chloe replied.
"So what did she get you?" Sabrina questioned.
Adrien took off the wrapping which revealed a brown packaged box. John came over and helped get the tape off. Adrien opened the flaps and saw a box of Styrofoam. He gently lifted the lid and smiled at what was inside: a snow globe!
"A snow globe!" Adrien beamed.
"A New York City one!" Lily beamed.
"Zoe does have good taste." Chloe bragged.
"Indeed." Lily agreed.
Alya brought Marinette forward, "Marinette has a gift for you too, Adrien." She said.
Marinette tried to smile as she held out her present. Adrien cringed at the smile but gently took the present. He opened the present which revealed to be a light blue colored scarf.
"You made this, Marinette?" Adrien asked.
"Y-Yeah, do you like it?" Marinette stuttered.
"Yes, I do. Thank you." Adrien thanked her.
Suddenly, a beeping sound was heard. Everyone looked to Placide I.T. The man took out his phone and saw a notification. He looked at Adrien and nodded to the door.
"Time to go, right?" Adrien asked.
Placide I.T. nodded.
Adrien let out a sigh and stood up. Lily and May helped him with gathering his gifts. All the classmates wished him a Happy Birthday. Placide I.T. walked out the door first and opened the car door for Adrien. Lily quickly walked up at Adrien and gave him a hug. Adrien was surprised at first and then smiled as he wrapped his right arm around her waist in a hug.
"Happy Birthday again, Adrien." Lily whispered.
"Thank you, Lily, for everything. I had a great time at this party." Adrien thanked her.
"I'm glad that you did. I also hope that you'll enjoy your dad's present." Lily smiled.
"I hope I will." Adrien prayed.
Placide I.T. cleared his throat and the two teens turned to him. He gestured to the car and Adrien climbed in. Placide I.T. closed the door and went into the driver's seat. When the car started up, Lily waved at Adrien who waved back as the car soon drove off. Lily stopped waving and watched the car drive away. Then she went back inside the house. Later, Lily, May and John helped give everyone leftovers which they were happy to accept. Soon enough, everyone left while Lily, May and John cleaned up a little and decided to do the rest tomorrow. Then they decided to head to bed.
Rossi Residence: Lily's Room
Lily was leaning on the windowsill, looking up at the stars. She was glad that there were no Akuma attacks today and that Nino didn't get Akumatized. She was also happy that Adrien had a great birthday party. She only wished that Felix and Zoe were at the party as well. But she knew that Adrien would call them and thank them for the presents. So today ended off good.
"I hope Adrien will like his dad's present." Lily prayed.
"I'm sure he will." Trixx assured.
"Afterall, he'll be spending some time with dad." Tikki added.
Lily smiled at the two Kwamis, "You're right."
Agreste Mansion (Saturday):
It was the day after the party. Adrien had contacted Felix and Zoe, thanking them for the presents they sent to him. Both were glad that Adrien enjoyed their presents and was glad that he was able to have a great birthday party with his new friends.
At the moment, Adrien and his dad were at the dinner table. Adrien was surprised that his father was eating with him at the table. But he was also glad since they hardly sat down and eat together. Soon the two were finished with their meal and then Nathalie appeared.
"Everything's ready, sir." Nathalie reported.
Gabriel stood up, "Good. Adrien, follow me."
Adrien stood up and followed his father out of the dining room.
Adrien's Room
Adrien was confused when he entered his room with his father. His father sat on the couch and Adrien sat next to him as Nathalie closed the door behind them. He then noticed on the table was a chocolate birthday cake with the number 15 candle on it.
{A/N: Just pretend that there's a number 15 candle on top}
"Happy Birthday, Adrien." Gabriel said.
"Thank you, father." Adrien smiled.
"You can blow out the candle now." Gabriel said.
Adrien closed his eyes and then blew out the candle.
"What did you wish for?" Gabriel asked as he began cutting the cake.
"If I tell you, it might not come true." Adrien replied as Gabriel put a slice of cake on a plate and handed it to him along with a fork.
Gabriel chuckled softly, "Perhaps you're right," He placed a slice of cake onto another plate and picked up the TV remote.
"Are we going to watch a movie?" Adrien inquired.
His father didn't answer and turned on the TV.
Adrien softly gasped at the title of the film and turned to his dad who smiled softly at him. He hugged his dad.
"Thank you, dad. This is a great gift." Adrien whispered.
Gabriel was shocked by the hug but then smiled softly once more and hugged him back, "I'm glad." He said.
The two continued to watch the film in silence as they ate their piece of cake.
Monday: Françoise Dupont High School: Miss Bustier's Classroom
Lily and her friends arrived at the classroom and walked up Adrien and Nino. Marinette had noticed that Adrien wasn't wearing her scarf, but he was wearing the bracelets that Lily had given him. She was disappointed that he wasn't wearing her gift.
"Hey Adrien, did you enjoy your dad's gift?" Lily asked.
"Definitely. My dad and I also had chocolate cake to celebrate." Adrien replied.
"Sweet! So what did your dad get you?" Nino asked.
"We got to watch a movie together." Adrien replied.
"A movie? What kind of movie?" Nino questioned.
"A film that my mom was in." Adrien answered.
"Your mom?" Nino blinked in shock.
"Yeah. She played the lead role." Adrien stated.
"Solitude, right? I remembered daddy talking about that film. It was quite the hit back then." Chloe commented.
"Man, I wish I could watch it." Sabrina added.
"Yeah, it sounded like a great movie when my parents told me about it." Lily said.
"Maybe someday we will watch together." Adrien hoped.
