"I brought you your school uniform and schedule. You and Xander have Power Control class together for first period." Juniper said to me as he handed me my uniform and class schedule.
I looked over the uniform. It looked like a typical school uniform like I imagined. Black jacket, black pants and a black and white striped tie. I wonder what the girl's uniforms looked like.
"Thanks, Juniper." I said then set my uniform down before looking over my schedule.
"Does anybody else in our group have the same class as me?"
Juniper shrugged. "Oh. That Nixie girl has the same Power Control class. That's all I know."
I nodded then looked over to Xander to see him already putting his uniform on while his Faerie helper just stood, or should I say, hovered there. I then looked back at Juniper and stared at him. I need to ask him more about this power that me and my friends share and I also need to tell him about me collapsing last night because I took my necklace off.
Juniper then noticed that I was staring at him. "What?"
I shook my head then touched my necklace. Who am I kidding. Would Juniper even tell me? He barely told me anything about having this power yesterday. What makes me think that he's going to go into detail about how me and my friends share one power and explain why I collapsed last night. I sighed then started to put my uniform on. I guess I can ask him later.

Can you believe these uniforms?" Evie said once we all met up with each other at breakfast.
I looked over the girl's uniform. They were wearing a black jacket with a black and white striped skirt. I guess black and white are the school's colors?
"I think they look cute." Nixie spoke.
"They're boring. Where's the color?" Evie said.
Gretchen then sighed. "Is that all you think about?"
"Of course! Well...I mean..." Evie then huffed and crossed her arms. "Whatever..." She mumbled.
"Alright, guys. Can we just get breakfast and sit down?" I suggested.
The dining hall was huge. There were a few long tables that stretched across the room and the Headmaster, along with the teachers of the school, sat in one spot at the side of the room. We each went through the line that connects to the dining room and got our breakfast then sat down at one of the tables. Nixie sat next to Xander like she did last night at dinner and I sat next to Nixie while Evie and Gretchen sat across from us. Our Faerie helpers aren't with us right now.
"So, did any of you guys ask your helpers about our power?" I spoke up.
"Nai said she didn't know anything." Nixie said.
"Sissi said she wasn't sure either." Gretchen said.
"I didn't ask Dorrit." Evie said.
"What? Why not?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter to me." She said as she ate breakfast.
I sighed as I looked down at my food.
"Anyways, what about you then?" Evie said.
I shrugged. "I couldn't. I was afraid that Juniper wouldn't tell me anything."
"Uh huh. What about you, Xander?" Evie said.
"Lief is clueless too. He said he's never had a Faerie student that held some sort of magical power like us." Xander said.
I finally looked up from my food but I didn't like the sight I was seeing. My friends were all staring at me and I wasn't sure why. It's like they knew something that I didn't or they were wanting to ask me something.
"What?" I finally said.
"Juniper seems to be the only Faerie helper that knows what's going on with us." Evie said.
"I agree. He told us all that we held some sort of enormous magical power that the rest of our Faerie helpers couldn't explain." Gretchen said.
I wasn't sure what they were getting at. Finally, I looked at Xander and Nixie.
"I think you should ask him." Xander said.
"Me too. He must know something more that he's not telling us." Nixie said.
I sighed and shook my head. "I...I can't."
Evie then scrunched up her face like she's mad. "Why not? We need to know what we're dealing with."
I frowned. "I didn't know you cared..."
Evie sighed and rolled her eyes. "I don't...I just...I don't know okay? I just want to know what I have. I want to know why i'm different than the rest of the students."
"Me too." Gretchen said.
I looked at Xander and Nixie and they both nodded. Man. It seems like I have a huge mission over my head. It feels like just yesterday, I was a normal boy and now today, i'm some sort of powerful being with a Faerie helper that won't tell me shit. What do I even do to get it out of him?
"Fine...I'm not sure how to get it out of him."
"Figure it out." Evie quickly said.
I narrowed my eyes at Evie. "Thanks for the support."
"If you need any help, I can be of service." Xander said.
I looked at him and smiled with a nod. "Thanks. I'll try to pump information out of him tonight before bed."
Yep. This is it. It's time to get down to the bottom of things. Juniper is definitely not telling us what we need to know. He's holding a secret and i'm determined to find out what it is.
