The three of them nodded to each other before running further down the docks to where Kai's boat sat anchored. Once aboard, they pull the anchor up and get the Treader heading back to Caecis.

Three days passed as Kai pushed the Treader like he never had before, and finally, they slowly drifted as they approached the Caecis entrance. Standing around the entrance were a couple of Relnad soldiers. Two massive Boosters were docked close by as well, towering above the small mine entrance.
The Treader continued drifting until it reached the docks, once there Kai and Leon began to hook the chains from the dock to the boat to hold it in place. The three of them walked slowly down the docks and closer to the entrance. Eileen was wearing a black cloak as she crept alongside the two young men. One of her arms was a device that was wrapped around her wrist and reached to her forearm. Small blades circled her arm, placed into the device like bullets would a chamber. Her weapon was known in the Expanse as a Wing. Eileen hid a small dagger sheathed at her waist as well.
They were only a matter of feet away from the soldiers, Eileen aimed her Wing at them before pulling the trigger. One blade shot out from beyond the darkness she was absorbed by, taking the soldier out that it was directed towards. The Wings mechanical device could be heard rotating and locking in another blade. The second soldier drew his sword to defend against whatever waited in the shadows.
With the pull of the trigger, the second soldier went down as well from a blade to the chest.

"Hurry to the entrance," Kai said.

The three of them darted across the platform and to the entrance of Caecis. The entrance consisted of a massively big metal hatch frame that linked the platform to the mine below. Pipes and other mechanisms ran around and out of the giant entrance, vacuuming the mine below so that it could be accessed with no special equipment needed. Leon crouched down and reached to the giant latch that held the entrance shut.
With a great amount of strength, the latch moved to where it could be opened. Leon then grabbed the handle, pulling it with all of his strength. Wind whistled out of the opening that was revealed. All three of the friends glanced at each other, then back to the stairs at the top of the Caecis entrance.

"Now we descend," Kai whispered.
