A 22 years old “Eric” is a dreamer. He usually dream about going on adventure and gaining an unusual experience, but he ended up as part-time worker. After spend a month searching for right adventure sites something finally caught his attention, it was neither volcano surfing nor mountain climbing without any safety equipment it was a news, a news that spread across the internet about the mysterious lost ship.
The young man was so interesting and exciting, he started to read more detail. Whole detail of the news was the reporter had an interview with the sole survivor of the fishing boat that had vanished, in the interview he said the he and his crew was attacked by somethings non-human and it wasn’t an animal too. The fisherman said that he survive by get into a life boat in time. Before the end of interview the fisher man warned everyone not to go to the “Sea of the Dead” region. This news is very popular, many said that this news was a hoax due to lack of any evidence and mental stability of the witness, but Eric didn’t care anything he finally found his place and he going to be there no matter what.
Later that day he talked to his longtime friend Charles, about going out to Sea of the Dead and prove about the missing ship. Charles also watched the interview and he didn’t believe it for the same reason like many others, but Eric still insist Charles to come with him, he said that if the news was hoax so it’s going to be a vacation instead. They discussed for several hours until Charles agreed, before they were finished talking Charles warn Eric about his overconfident because he didn’t want it to ruined their relationship again, but Eric seemed that he didn’t care at all.
Two days after while Eric was busied about both of his work and finding an equipment Charles started to looking for more information from public library. He searched every book, every shelf but found nothing the region called “Sea of the Dead” nearly wiped out from any history book. Charles didn’t search it on the internet because he didn’t trust it. After many hours he had spent in a library, he finally found a script about a group of researcher who went there but none of them ever returned, some said that the ship was sank because of the storm or the ship was hit by a rock, but that never be confirmed.
Charles started to get worried, that is when the girl named Freesia saw him. She saw Charles so depressed and confused, so she decide to talk to him. Charles very surprised and nervous when he saw Freesia. She asked Charles what happened and what was he doing, Charles who was nervous and confused told her that he was doing a project. Freesia suddenly known that Charles was lying, Freesia was very good at reading person and demand Charles to tell the truth. Charles spitted everything out to Freesia and told her why he was so depressed and confused whether told Eric or not. After hearing Charles’s story Freesia seemed to feel bored and annoyed by Charles feeling, “What a wimpy boy” Freesia mumbled. Charles asked Freesia to say the word again. Freesia start frustrated and said the word again only this she shouted it out loudly, fortunately it was very late so nobody noticed them. Charles was shocked by Freesia’s word. After shouted out her expression Freesia start to get mad and told Charles that he was such a wussy man and walked away. While Charles still shocking Freesia turn back and said “I shouldn’t be friend with a coward” before continue walked away. That word shocked Charles, at that moment he was both frustrated and confused.
When he returned home he barely couldn’t sleep. He was so confused, he wanted to go there so hard after being hit by Freesia’s word, also on the other hand he also worried and unsure about this decision. An hours passed Charles still couldn’t make a decision until he receive the message from Eric. Eric told him that he also invited Freesia into the trip and heard all of the Freesia’s complaint about Charles. Eric also told Charles that Freesia said that if she didn’t see him on the trip she didn’t know him anymore. This message take all of Charles’s fear away, he had made a decision, without a doubt, joining the trip. Eric was so glad that Charles joined the trip that he can’t wait to go on a journey.
