Somewhere in a space opened only by the dying sun, deep hues of roaring amber and cotton candy pink ravage the night like a fire. Deep shadows etch into this firelight, sillouettes of a hidden world. Dark hair and eyes pull out of the space unknown, and a boy who can only be described as coffee stands alone in a ballroom with glass walls framing the vibrant hues of murderous orange and red outside. A dark contrast to the glistening colors of the room. A novel in hand, a single white dafodil folded in its pages. The coffee-like boy drinks up the palace he is in, while the spinning lense of his life stays still, so still in fact, he knows something important must happen tonight.170Please respect copyright.PENANAPgNBxUmiwz
While the firey light outside slowly dies as people mingle about, floods of everlasting and icey blue echo into the becoming night. Coffee Boy stands around, and without the orange surrounding him, he blends in with the outside. Slowly, the air of excitment hums and he is brought out of his trance, no longer seeing the everlasting beauty of the glass castle. Coffee boy starts to talk amongst the people hes known for so long but cannot begin to care what their names are, but no one knows anyones name around here. 170Please respect copyright.PENANA8ko2u7YIrg
People, nobility maybe, this seems like an important event, begin to dance, dine, and drink. Coffee Boy can smell the pungent, expensive wine from across the room. He considers the idea of getting a glass, maybe it will help him do the task he has no clue how to aproach. Musics melody drifts from instruments and singers into the delicate glass room, and the far too wealthy gasp in delight while asked to dance by their peers. If anyone was wishing for Coffee Boy to dance with them, they wouldn't be here, but they will be arriving soon.170Please respect copyright.PENANAgrLmzEO9u0
So Coffee Boy indulges the idea of wine, and finds a glass of deep, violent violet liquid that will certainly make him stop worrying. He laughs and talks to the others his age, all too interested in the small bits and pieces of his life Coffee Boy doesn't talk about. Theres a reason he hates these young adults, but the wine dulls that point untill he can't truly remember why he dislikes them, just that he does. 170Please respect copyright.PENANA7RUw4J4hFp
While the night starts to truly spring into deep dark blues so close to black only an artist could see the difference, golden radiant beams of light carve their way around the paths and arches of the outside garden. But people are too busy to notice the ethereal garden's illumination when the real light arrives.170Please respect copyright.PENANA7xUUrfCkFS
Silver streaks of radiant brilliance echo into the room before she even arrives. People just know the girl who can only be described as stars is coming. Out from doors made of wood dyed a deep ebony, that look exactly like the night, the star-like girl enters. Her eyes of silver and straight golden hair make everyone look, everyone stare at the golden beauty that is Star Girl. Her weeping dress of green will look nice against his light brown suit jacket, Coffee Boy thinks for a moment, but it would be nothing in comparasin to the luminating perfection Star Girl is. 170Please respect copyright.PENANA2WvHK8jRRS
She enters the room that is now night, a lone golden droplet in a sea of silver stars. But she outshines them all, and the girls in the group hiss with jealousy, Star Girl acts like she doesn't notice, but she does. She smiles and laughs amongst the true adults of the party, greeting them as if she is not late, because how could she be? 170Please respect copyright.PENANAvk1sA1LP1o
A princess cannot be late to her own fifteenth birthday party. 170Please respect copyright.PENANArGIkHkpxH4
But nobility doesn't care about her fifteen minutes later, once all the well wishing and greetings are gone, they are simply back in their own worlds. Star Girl's castle of night simply their setting for their own narrative, their own life. Star Girl isn't hurt, her grey eyes say so little, but Coffee Boy understands. She doesn't know these people, how can they hurt her? She bobs amongst the individuals she didn't see yet, saying well wishings and comments about a persons life with such care Coffee Boy doesn't know how she does it. 170Please respect copyright.PENANAUXgo3zEX4V
An hour fades into nothing since the Star Girl's arrival, as dancing continues, wine is poured, and food is eaten. Stories are unraveling here, and Coffee boy wants to capture one. But it is like a needle in a haystack, the silver glance of the needle enticing him to search deeper and deeper into the stack of hay untill he has fallen in. Trapped in seeing the stories of others he cannot find the silver, stunning needle of a story he wishes to find, his own. 170Please respect copyright.PENANAnnbhukjFDq
The eyes of Star Girl wander to Coffee Boy, as they normally do when she looks for comfort from the nonstop talk of nobility. The firelight of the night has eased into something much more intimate, cooler. Like a candle slowly ebbing away into melted wax, the lights were dimmer, the voices more hushed, as if they knew after hours of galivanting around someone elses house that it was time to go home. 170Please respect copyright.PENANAZsTAVsAdZl
So the band played one last time, the fifteenth dance of the night for Star Girl, and the first for Coffee boy. A slow melody with a simple dance, to wind down the night for drunk guests and tired hostesses. So together in the firelight of stars above and glowing chandeliers, Coffee Boy and Star Girl danced.170Please respect copyright.PENANAb6sCoy8zaZ
Step, step, step, spin-Step step step spin. Again and again, not a word between the two. They knew each other too well to need to speak. They had done this dance a thousand times and knew they would do it a thousand more. In the center of the room, against the astounding grace of a pitch black night, they danced to the melody of a story Coffee Boy thought he would write. 170Please respect copyright.PENANAePZ29hjegu
In the space opened up by a dying sun, ebony and black swirled and danced like two teens in love. Green and brown stood out in the ballroom's center, the Princess and a boy who she loves take to the night, spinning through stars and dancing on clouds, never letting the moment end. And even as the music ends, they do not. People drift off like dust and dirt from Coffee Boy's favorite coat, but the Girl and the Boy stay, and sneak off into the night. 170Please respect copyright.PENANAj9yupb6jRT
Star Girl and Coffee Boy make their own story, the silver needle finally caught, in the space made by the gorgeous dying sun.170Please respect copyright.PENANARlZcLroiPM
