Dumping her toothbrush back into the en-suite she drags me out of bed and practically pushes me into the bathroom. Staring into the mirror I notice my sunken eyes and straggly hair. I wash up, appalled at my appearance and use some of her eye cream.

Pushing my now tamed hair back I emerge back into her room, the dark apricot walls and twinkling fairy lights over the bed cheering me up. She's left me a pair of cargos and a tank on the bed which I slip on gratefully.

The Chevy is just how I remembered it, Rhea drives us carefully out to a different shopping district. We didn't want to take a walk down first date clothes buying lane, and revisit that particular memory.

We head into the tanning booths first and I opt for a natural golden glow, praying that I won’t turn out orange. Having been bronzed up, and smelling of apricots. I pull on my new black dress and sandals and head back out.

The massage chairs we sit in whilst having our hair washed do the trick at relieving the knots in my back as the lady washes our hair. Who needs a hunky boyfriend with strong hands, when one can sit in a massage chair for twenty minutes.
