The present is reflected in the silence before each wave,

though distorted.

You can find the past in the form of memories

of playing in the sand when you were young.

If you stay under too long,

you'll be able to feel your future taken from you

as the water fills your lungs.

This is my ocean,

It is my past

It is my present

And it is our future –

For our future

Belongs not to us, but to the ocean

That will rejoice in our downfall.
