I didn’t start reading books because someone told me to. It happened slowly, almost accidentally. I was in school, sitting in the back of the class during a free period, when I picked up a book just to pass the time. It wasn’t anything grand—just a small story about a boy who didn’t fit in. But somehow, as I read page after page, it felt like the book was speaking to me more than anyone around me ever had.

At home, things were often noisy or tense. Life wasn’t always kind. People argued, doors slammed, and sometimes, it felt like no one was really listening. But when I opened a book, everything else faded. The noise outside stopped mattering. I could travel to other worlds, meet people who were brave, broken, curious, or lost—just like me.

Over time, reading became my way of understanding feelings I didn’t know how to talk about. It helped me make sense of the world, and of myself. Some books made me cry. Some made me think. A few made me laugh out loud when I needed it most. But all of them gave me something I couldn’t find anywhere else—stillness and connection.

Now, whenever things feel heavy, I pick up a book. Not to escape, but to feel understood. Each story reminds me that I’m not alone in how I see the world, or how I move through it. That somewhere, someone else has felt the same confusion, the same hope, the same longing.

That’s why I read books. Not because I have to. But because somewhere along the way, they became a part of who I am.

Trace the fall, This ain't baseball, This is a grace call, No space wall, Trying to put fear in me, Dying to put the gear on me, Immortal status, Portal axis, Lion in my blood, Iron in the mud, Why they hating so hard, Why they skating so far.

It won't last no longer, When I fast I feel stronger, Cast your burdens so you can conquer, It's in the past why hunger, See the teeth of the python, See the defeat of the icon, See the heat when the light on, See the street when the night on.

They want to cast dreams, They want to cash schemes, The world is wicked, The Word said we can't kick it, No scoffers or mockers, Lava overflowing through the lockers, They praying to baphomet, We ain't playing with the sacrament, The ancient are back again.

The rain will heal cause the pain is real, The cup of suffering ain't no joke, They know what's up so they wondering if I'm woke, Tapping into my best version, I ain't capping my flesh is purging, The enemy is in scheme, My energy is clean.

Twenty four seven, There's plenty more in heaven, It's ritual season, It's a residual reason, Keep the glow clean, Peep the flow scene, Capture the schemes, Rapture the dreams, Long time coming. Strong time running, Feel wrong stunting, Be real they hunting.

Rock on my shoulders, They shocked cause I'm bolder, The lock getting older, I break any combination, They make any abomination, Hated by my foes, Made it past my woes, They act like they are anointed, Playback the tape they weren't appointed.

Put my heart on the line. Starting to see they ain't blind, Foes and fake kin, The souls is waking, I'm hear for a reason, I have no fear in any season, They saying thanks stealing from banks, Spiritually moving up in the ranks, Credit is due, I said it true.

The stars align when your heart is kind, Plant a seed, Grant a deed, I ain't trying to fit in, I'm crying to get in, Been ostracized, Seen the offers rise, Fake love, They can't break the dove, Eternal life. Return to the light.

I wasn't given a chance but I was always in God's plans, They seen my light, Pray where I been in the night, They shook cause I fear no look, There's angels and devils in every nation, At this level got to walk in elevation, Heaven is the celebration.

I know what the aim be, I know what the game be, I seen the best and worst of the nations, I been blessed when they cursed the generations, This is what society wants, This is how society haunts, Only God do I fear, Battle the odds in every new year.
