Some days, to the world,

I feel like a broken record

I keep skipping around

The same old turn of phrase

Hoping that someone will listen

But people just walk on by

Some days, to the world,

I feel like the shirt

At the back of the closet

That sits forgotten

I haven't been worn in years

Some days, to the world,

I feel like a bird without wings

I wish so desperately to fly

But I am chained to the ground

I call for my freedom

-

Some days, to the world,

I feel like a child's forgotten doll

Sitting empty in the corner

Once so loved and cherished

But now I have been cast away.
