Bran's POV
I hear the ravens cawing just before their eyes briefly turn white then the ravens take off. I know my eyes are looking upward as I use my power. The Ravens fly cloud high and take some time in their flight to the South, directly to King's landing covered in snow. The people of King's landing are doing what they can to stay warm and inside away from the cold. However the South cannot handle the cold.
I notice that the walls surrounding the city have nothing but archers, and many men armed at a weapon large enough to injury Daenerys's dragon children. Cersei appears to have been busy with the amount of Scorpions. Possibly over sixty scorpions, ready to fire if they are to spot a dragon anywhere close in the sky or on land.
And Blackwater Bay is filled with Euron Greyjoy's fleet of ships. The men guarding the ships are freezing out in the cold of the water bay. The Ravens circle back around to see the encampment of the Golden Company just beyond Blackwater Bay. The war elephants are crowding together to keep warm as are their war horses that have never seen any kind of winter from across the Narrow Sea.
I see quite a number of the men arguing about remaining here since some of their elephants are becoming ill, unable to fight in these conditions. But their commanders put all of them to silence due to the amount of money paid by the Iron Bank. The Ravens circle back around to the Red Keep, using their swift wings to go where I need their eyes.
The Ravens approach and land all over the Red Keep until my sight finally gets the glimpse of the one I want to watch. The Ravens' eyes dart back and forth in their secret landing, remain quiet as Cersei Lannister is sitting in the quiet of the Red Keep.
Cersei's POV
I stare upon the map of Westeros while the clouds above are dark grey, showing that winter of the Long Night is here in King's Landing. The flakes of snow fall upon the ground as if everything belonged to the snow. I cannot remember the last time I saw snow here in the South.
I remain in my chair by a small bonfire under the roof while watching the snow continue to fall. I'll admit it is quite beautiful. I wonder what Tommen, Joffrey and Myrcella would have thought of the snow. I'm sure that Tommen and Myrcella would have enjoyed playing in the snow. Joffrey would have cursed Winter on the Northerners if not any sort of Gods. I stare upon the snow imagining them playing with it like the children they truly were. Joffrey was the age of nine and ten when he died. Myrcella was six and ten years of age. Tommen was age four and ten about to be five and ten.
I exhale deeply and slowly at the thought of my three children. I remember the moments they were born and placed in my arms. Robert was out hunting so I didn't give a damn if he was there at all. All I wanted was for Jamie to be there and he was until half a fortnight ago. I place my hands over my stomach in my fourth child growing within me. I give a small smile that I am with child again. I never thought I could have another especially after that so called witch's telling of my future.
It has been snowing a bit here and there since Jamie left, betrayed me. He never should have left me and our child but instead he walked away. I hope Tyrion and Jaime suffer horrible deaths then become those dead creatures. Then I can kill them myself if the Dead come South.
My thoughts drift away to the falling snow and the fur blanket giving me warmth while I sit out here. I hear someone walking toward me and the only one with permission to disturb me right now is Maester Qyburn and Ser IIyn Payne.
Qyburn managed to bring Ser IIyn Payne back to King's Landing. Ser IIyn Payne disappeared after the sword, Ice was taken to be forged into two new words for House Lannister by my father, TywinouseHouse. I only allowed him to leave due to having no tongue; no one for him to tell his dark secrets and his skills of an executioner would be needed one day. I summoned him back into the crown's service just before Jaime left like the traitor he is.
I enjoy how others are around him. Many see him as a grim man with a thin face, hollow cheeks and no hair. And due to his features, it tends to scare people and making him perfect for the Queen's Executioner. I know he will remain faithful to me to his last moments.
"May I speak with you, your grace?" Qyburn asks me.
I respond to Qyburn, "Approach."
Qyburn walks around my chair to be standing before me while IIyn Payne remains a few feet from me. He extends his hand out. In his hand is a letter with a seal. I notice that looks like a fox on the seal. I tell Qyburn to open the letter himself. He does so without question.
"Read it, Qyburn."
'Queen Cersei, I shall soon arrive to Winterfell and when I leave, Sansa Stark will be yours. I'll send word of where she will be. I hope you will be pleased when you have her. I know we, the Foxes will be pleased when you have that snowy bitch. Warmest wishes from The Desert Fox.'
I glare at Qyburn in hearing the words written on the parchment. I take the letter from his hand to see it for myself. My eyes study the black ink signature of the Desert Fox. Somewhere deep inside me believes that these Foxes are up to something.
"What do you think of these Foxes, Qyburn?" I ask him, wondering if any of his clever council will settle my thoughts.
"I sent my own little birds to find out what they could of these Foxes. Some is disturbing but the rest is quite insightful. They are believed to be ghosts, a bonfire story to scare children almost like the White Walkers. But for those that believe them to be more than ghosts, The Foxes are known to be tricksters, fast, and strong. It is rumored that they do unspeakable things to make themselves into better killers. One of the Foxes named the Winter Fox is said impossible to kill."
"Impossible to kill? That is what was said about Robb Stark the Young Wolf but the Red Wedding proved otherwise. Continue." I say to him.
"That is all I got from the whispers about who they are. However their numbers are unknown but the only number to be confirmed is 3. Only three were sighted through Essos. They never truly travel alone." He tells me.
"Why do you think that is, Qyburn?"
"It could be for survival. And survival can be strength to some. Daenerys Targaryen is evidence of survival strength."
Even I cannot deny his words about Daenerys Targaryen. Her survival was her strength for years. The same does go for Sansa Stark even as she wore the necklace that held the poison that killed my son at his wedding. My eyes go over to necklace on the side table then go right to the North on the Map of Westeros.
I slowly stand up with a thick, light tan fur of a Lion shawl covering my upper body. I walk onto the map while the snow begins building up on my shoulders. My feet stand right on the written words, Winterfell. I want to burn Winterfell to the ground just as burning the Sept to rumble. Maybe I should dispatch a few thousand of the Golden Company to destroy what is left of them if they make it out alive.
"Your grace, I should let you know that everything is ready for the evening and when you are ready, I will bring the people inside to witness the evening as well."
"Very well. Let's get this over with; I will get myself ready. No one is to disturb me."
Qyburn bows his head and assures that no one will disturb me until the events of the evening is to begin. I exhale in walking into my chambers to see the servants prepare a warm bath and black gown I am wearing for the evening. I tell the servants to leave and they do so without delay.
Ser IIyn Payne stays outside my chamber doors since I want him to stay with me at all times until the Starks and the Dragon Queen are taken care of. I see the steam coming from the warm bath as I take my boots off.
I take off my layers and get into the bath. I feel the warmth of the bath water, allowing myself to soak in it. I go under the water to drench my short blonde hair. I admit that I miss my long blonde hair often but having short hair reminds me what I endured against the High Sparrow into the woman I am now.
After I come back up for air and finish washing up, I remain in the water until the warmth is gone. I stand up with water dripping off my body when I grab a long towel, wrapping it around my body. I dry off and stare at my stomach. I know that I will begin to show any day now which means I need to get the disgusting deed done sooner than I want to. I have no choice but to bed Euron Greyjoy or find another arrangement he is more than willing to do without having to bed him.
I get into the gown for the evening. The dress has a scoop neckline with a long, gold lace hemmed upper body design and black skirt with high neck cape. It is sleeveless. I would have done wine red on the dress just for House Lannister. However it is going to take more than a dress to make that statement. My name shall remain Lannister even though I am marrying Euron Greyjoy. I will always be a Lannister down to my bones and by name, no marriage will change that.
I manage to tie the strings at the lower back of the dress, brush out my hair, then place the dark steel crown on my head. I have no other jewelry on me since there is only one other jewel to be added on this evening for my very last wedding.
I stare at my reflection and I can hardly recognize myself. My last wedding was many years ago. I arrived in King's Landing to my very first wedding to Robert Baratheon when he was crowned after his rebellion. I can actually remember being happy when getting into my gold and white wedding dress. I was not in love with Robert however he was a handsome man at the time and he was the new crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms. I actually did worship him more than Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.
I was excited to be the wife of Robert Baratheon that crushed House Targaryen into ruin, changing the course of history with his Rebellion, the winner of the war. I recall each step toward him. Robert was lean, fierce, black bearded compared to the pale and moonlight hair of Rhaegar Targaryen. I did like Rhaegar even more than my own brother and preferred him over Robert Baratheon. But Robert was quite the looker to have for a King and husband until the wedding night when he climbed on top of me whispering Lyanna Stark's name, stinking of wine, terrible drunk he hardly remembered what he managed to do to me.
That is when my life truly changed during my first wedding night as a married woman. I never imagined myself to be married again until making the arrangements with Euron Greyjoy for his fleet of ships. However I will make sure he is nothing more than a puppet during the War of Queens people are calling it.
I walk out of my chambers with Ser IIyn Payne just a few steps behind me the entire way to the Throne room. I walk into the throne room where Qyburn, Euron and several of my Queen's Guard, Golden Company, men of Euron's fleet and several people of King's Landing to witness the wedding, spread the word around all of Westeros of the Black Wedding.
I walk slowly, slower than I know Euron would like but all in all, I am ready to accomplish what I am here to do. I turn to face Euron as Qyburn is standing a few steps away to do the ceremony. He'll join us as wife and husband with the throne room filled with maybe over two hundred people to witness.
"You may now cloak the bride under your protection." Qyburn tells Euron.
Euron takes off his black cloak as I turn my back to him. He places the cloak on my shoulders then we face Qyburn. We extend our hands outward. Euron is about to place his hand on top of mine but instead I place my hand is on top of his hand when Qyburn uses a black ribbon to bind our hands as one.
"In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity. Look upon each other and say the words." Qyburn says.
I look at this sorry excuse of a man and he gives a cocky smile before we both say the words together.
"Father. Smith. Warrior. Mother. Maiden. Crone. Stranger. I am hers and she is mine from this day until the end of my days." I manage to utter the words out loud to this somewhat disgusting man and the same cocky smile on his smug face.
"Let it be known as Queen Cersei of House Lannister and Euron of House Greyjoy is now one heart, one flesh, and one soul. Cursed be thee that would rip them apart." Qyburn says before untying the black ribbon from our hands.
Qyburn does not say the words for Euron to kiss the bride. But Euron attempts to kiss me on the lips. I turn so he has to kiss my cheek. He goes with it then we turn to face those watching the wedding. Some clap for our new union between our houses. However this union will not live long since I ensure that Euron Greyjoy will not make it out alive from the War of Queens.
There is a small feast table for the attending guests to eat while Euron and I have a small table in front of the Throne. Euron leans close with that stupid smug smile and whispers to me, "I am going to put a prince in that belly tonight. Let me know what you prefer. Do you like it gentle or rough?"
"Euron, we will discuss all at a later time. For now, eat and go drinking with your men." I tell him in disgust.
Although I do have to hand it to him that he even asked what I would prefer then just wanting to do the act like Robert did. Euron does not question being allowed to go drinking with his men.
Suddenly Captain Strickland approaches the table and tells me, "Your grace, there is something you need to know."
"What is it?"
"Daenerys Targaryen is in the Red Keep..." He whispers to me.
I look down at the throne room doors wondering if I should close them and have the men ready for a fight. However I get the feeling it is not an assault on the Red Keep or King's Landing or the armies. This is something else entirely.
"Is anyone else with her? How did she get in?"
"No. It is just her in full armor, alone. Unsure of how she got in but I will find out one way or another, Queen Cersei."
"Make sure the men are armed and ready. Not sure what she is up to but be prepared."
"Yes, your grace." He bows his head then leaves the table.
I get up and the servants move the table away. Some of the people are curious to what is happening until we hear the echoing of footsteps getting closer and closer to the throne room.
I stand before the Iron Throne with Qyburn on my right and Ser IIyn on my left. The Queen's Guard forms a line in front of me. The small crowd of people split to each side of the room ready to attack if needs be. We all peer at the entrance when Daenerys Targaryen strides into the throne room like she has done it her whole life.
She is wearing all black armor that appears to be made of valyrian steel, her silver hair in a braided hairstyle but some of her silver hair hanging past the front of her shoulders. And on top of her head is a black band crown with red jewels, fitting for a Targaryen. She has a sort of sword in her hand while slowly making her way closer to me.
She passes by some of the armed men on both sides of the aisle, stretching across the chamber like they are harmless ghosts to her. The dim light comes in the windows from the of winter weather outside like the skies know the Dragon Queen has arrived. The dim light also causes for the sword in her hand to glimmer and the red jewels in her crown to shine.
There are whispers spreading through the room of her beauty alone. And the men of the Golden Company are in awe to see a Targaryen before them. After all, it was a Targaryen that started the Golden Company years ago. I can see some of them feel a sort of loyalty to her however the gold paid to them will keep them here with me.
Daenerys Targaryen steps closer to the Iron Throne as my Queen's Guard draws their swords and points them at Daenerys. Daenerys stops to look at the blades then her dark green eyes glare right at me.
"Well well..." Daenerys says with a sort of chuckle. "What a glittering assemblage for a wedding."
"You are not welcomed here." Euron Greyjoy says to her in a drunken manner.
"It certainly is an awkward situation however I am not offended. And to show I bare no ill will to anyone here, I have an offer for you."
She takes the sword in her hand and points it directly at me. One of the guards is about to approach her but she tosses the sword that it lands before my feet. It looks like a sword from one of her savage forces that fights for her.
"Add it to the throne, Cersei Lannister." She finally speaks with a powerful voice unlike how she spoke in the Dragonpit meeting. She takes a few steps back to show she is not here to fight me; at least for now.
Ser IIyn Payne comes forward and picks up the savage sword. She keeps her hands together in front of her, glaring me down. I do the same toward her. But I know that she is truly getting a good look at the Iron Throne.
This is probably the first time she has seen it with her own eyes. Her ancestral family throne is within reach of her. I imagine she has dreamed of this moment for as long as she can remember.
"You wear a crown, Daenerys Targaryen. You are not Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and you never will be."
"I wear a crown because I am Queen of Meereen, Cersei Lannister."
"You are across the Narrow Sea which means you are no true Queen to me."
Daenerys begins to take a look around the room then takes a full view of the Iron Throne. She seems to be counting the swords on the throne then tells me, "When I was a little girl, I was told stories in how the Iron Throne was forged in a thousand swords of Aegon the Conqueror's fallen enemies and new allies. I even imagined a mountain of swords too high to climb that a person could only see the soles of Aegon's feet when he sat the throne."
"However it is smaller than I thought it would be. It doesn't even look like a thousand swords. I have no doubt that Robert Baratheon changed it when he took the Iron Throne. Now it looks like a weak, uncomfortable chair." She walks back to stand before Captain Strickland and Ser IIyn standing in front of me.
"You said you have an offer. What is your offer?"
"My offer is your lives and the Iron Throne." She says without hesitation.
Many are stunned and whispers go around the chamber in what she said. Even I have a hard time believing the words she spoke out loud. I walk past Strickland and IIyn to stand face to face with this Targaryen Usurper.
"The Iron Throne? What game are you playing?" I ask knowing there is more to the words of her offer.
"I will no longer play in the Game of Thrones. I value the life of my people and mine. I have lost enough to know I will lose far more if I continue to pursue the Iron Throne." She then walks past me.
The guards are about to stop her but I shake my head no. She stands before the Iron Throne. She studies every sword on the throne then slowly places her hand on it. Her hand grips onto one of the many sword handles. She almost cannot believe that she is within reach of her family throne.
"Once a throne made of mountain of swords so high to climb, now look at it due to Robert Baratheon Rebellion's and the changes made to this day. And right here is where your brother, Jaime Lannister murdered my father. Jaime stabbed him in the back then cut his throat. His blood poured onto the floor as he said what he kept saying for hours, 'Burn them all'. My father more than earned his title, The Mad King. I understand that everything our family did was for our houses and our family or as my father did what the voices in his head told him to do. There is nothing that can change where we are now."
She must be imagining that night that Jaime stabbed The Mad King in the back over and over in her lead like she has since she was a child. I imagined the murder of my mother thanks to Tyrion coming into the world countless times. I understand that.
"If I take your offer, what do I have to do in return?" I want to get to the point of her visit.
Daenerys turns her back to the Iron Throne to look at me. "First, you must give your word that if you take the offer, neither of us can take back our word and bring no harm to each other and the ones we love."
"And if I do give my word?"
"In return for my offer, you will allow the North to be an independent Kingdom, no ill will or harm or death to the North to the end of time. That is my offer."
I am surprised that she would even ask for such a thing since I heard that the North despises her. However if this is her offer, I wonder what will happen to her. "What about you, Daenerys Targaryen? Where will you go?"
"I will go back across the Narrow Sea to Meereen and rule. I can still do well there and I am loved there unlike here in Westeros. And I understand why in all that House Targaryen has done in the past; especially my father, The Mad King who earned his title."
"You expect me to believe that you will give up the Iron Throne, go back to rule in Meereen if I allow the North to be a kingdom?"
"Yes, I will go back to Meereen if you hold up your end of the offer. That is the only way this offer works. Give the North their Kingdom, I will go back to Meereen and you rule on the Iron Throne as Queen of Six Kingdoms."
"Tell me why you would do this for the North."
"Because my ancestor, Aegon the Conqueror is the one who made the North into one of the Seven Kingdoms, the least I can do is give the North back to them. And it is the least you can do since you lied about sending your forces to aid against the Great War against the Army of White Walkers."
Several people are in shock to hear the words about the White Walkers. Daenerys sees that the people do not seem to know about the Army of the Dead.
"They don't know, do they? You expected to hide what North is facing?"
"The North has it handled. They do not need aid of the South. They have faced the White Walkers so many years ago. They can do it again."
"I am afraid not. Because of the War of Five Kings, the Red Wedding, Battle of the Bastards, it has weaken the North due to the very moment your son, Joffrey called for Ned Stark's head. If the North falls, so does all of Westeros. And that will be on you, Cersei Lannister."
She walks past me and down the steps like she is about to head out of the throne room. However I am not finished with this dragon bitch.
"And if I don't take your offer?"
She stops in her steps then slowly turns around as the torches of the room seem to burn brighter in the look of her dark green eyes.
"Then with Fire & Blood, I will take the Iron Throne and ensure all of Westeros knows that Daenerys Targaryen did everything before an ounce of blood was spilled in you refusing my offer of peace. And let this be a warning to all of you in that reminder."
Then suddenly the entire back wall of the throne room erupts with dust and stone fragments, all of the glass shattering behind the Iron Throne are destroyed. Every single person in the chamber screams, fleeing from the Red Keep in terror. The throne room is being filled with dust and stone fragments.
Qyburn, IIyn, Euron and Captain Strickland pull me away toward the door entrance. Qyburn and the Mountain hover over me, protecting me from the shattered stone and glass flying everywhere. My eyes turn to see a dragon had climbed its way in here. The massive beast breaks apart the dust as its feet causes massive thudding all around. The dragon stomps hard as the dust begins to clear to reveal the wide, broad chest, long neck and head right above the Iron Throne.
The dragon lets out an unsettling roar that I immediately cover my ears but it is no good. My ears are ringing from the loud madness happening before me. Daenerys does not move in the damages her dragon has done. A dragon and Targaryen standing right at the iron throne, it is theirs for the taking if they wanted it. The Dragon queen smiles at her dragon, like a child she has given birth to. The dragon lowers its head, becoming quiet such as quickly a storm comes and goes. The tyrant Targaryen extends her hand to her beast and the dragon allows her to pet him at the bottom of his nose. The dragon gives a sort of noise like a cat purring when being petted and loved.
After a few moments pass and the dust settles, the dragon lowers its right shoulder to what is left of the floor behind the Iron Throne. Daenerys stares at the Iron Throne one more time before she climbs to the base neck of her dragon, ready to take flight. However Daenerys urges the dragon to get close to us that its scaled chest is barely touching the tip of the Iron Throne.
Euron and Captain Strickland take a step back. I can feel my face harden at the damage her dragon alone did to the throne room. Daenerys and I look at each other when her dragon extends his neck out, unleashing its mighty roar. I use my hands to cover my ears again and close my eyes ready for the dragon to eat or burn us all alive.
When the roaring finally stops and the shitty meat breath of the dragon remains over us, I look to Daenerys before she shouts, "Take my offer or you will die screaming, Cersei Lannister!"
Daenerys turns her dragon then flies out the way the beast came in. The dragon climbs into the air over the sea outside of the throne room. There is nothing but snow falling from the skies above as the dragon flies over Blackwater Bay. I run over to see Daenerys fly over the ships of Euron.
I hear the sound of the bells ringing and the sight of smoke filling the air from where all of the ships are. We all leave the throne room at once and go the closest windows with view of Blackwater Bay and King's landing. I shout for Euron to come take a look. He runs over to see that half if not most of his ships are burning or sinking into the bay. He takes off running in a fury as his men follow behind him.
"That Targaryen bitch made sure she would distract us so her dragon can burn whatever ships it could!" I yell in anger when several men come running over to Qyburn.
"I don't think so, your grace. I know that the breath of a dragon is mighty however that is not the work of a dragon. Someone purposefully set those ships on fire a few at a time then sank whatever ships they could on the way out." Captain Strickland tells me.
Qyburn comes to my side and tells me, "Captain Strickland is correct, your grace. It appears that Theon Greyjoy and his fellow men got to the ships during the wedding, freed Yara Greyjoy and set as many as they could to burn or sink. The only thing that Daenerys's dragon did burn was all of the Scorpions made on top of the walls surrounding King's landing. And she left something else for the entire south to see."
Qyburn points out the window of what Daenerys left behind for the south. My eyes see that there are fields burning beyond Iron Gate, Dragon gate, Old gate, Gate of the Gods, Lion Gate, and King's Gate. These were not just fields on fire, the flames was purposefully formed into the sigil of House Targaryen; a three headed dragon.
I scream in anger of what she did in just being in the South. I remain watching to see her dragon fly over the ships that are no good. I ask Qyburn how quickly more scorpions can be made along with the repairs to Euron's fleet.
"I am afraid all that has been destroyed set us back by several fortnights if not over a year. The amount of metal used and wood will be scarce now that winter is upon us. However I will do what I can to get things on track." Qyburn says before leaving.
I glare at the sight of the dragon letting out several roars before disappearing beyond Blackwater Bay and King's Landing. I grip my hand onto the edge of the window in this now never ending wake.
I begin to imagine King's Landing burning, nothing but the city in rumble as the Dragon Queen standing before her forces with the three headed dragon sigil hanging over the tallest wall for all to see. Her dragon overseeing the destruction of the city roaring which I know will happen if Daenerys reaches for the Iron Throne.
Captain Strickland questions, "Are you going to consider her offer?"
I begin to utter the actual thought if I should take her offer, let the North be their own Independent Kingdom while I take the Iron Throne and rule Six Kingdoms. And she is across the Narrow Sea where the winged rat truly belongs. Is this offer worth taking?
Jorah's POV
I watch overhead as Daenerys flies her dragon this way. We are just a few miles away from the Tourney grounds. A fellow man is with me from the Golden Company. I went to him while Daenerys got inside the Red Keep to tell Cersei Lannister her offer. I helped train him when he was a little boy joining the ranks of the Golden Company when I was forced out of Westeros by Ned Stark.
I look back at William and he smiles back to me. He was more than happy to come with me. He wanted to come with me when I began to spy on Daenerys and her brother, Viserys however I did not want him to get mixed in with the trouble I was getting myself into. But I swore that one day we would be reunited and here we are.
I wonder if Cersei's council will urge her to take the offer. Although I don't believe that Cersei Lannister will go for it, not as long as Daenerys is alive. The War has begun. The only way for the war to end is by one of them dying, no different than the War of Five Kings with Robb Stark and Joffrey Lannister or the Dance of Dragons between Aegon Targaryen Second of his name and Rhaenyra Targaryen.
Drogon lands not far from me and William. He is in awe at the sight of the dragon especially Daenerys with the field in flames in the form of a three headed dragon right behind them. William's dirty blonde hair is blowing everywhere from the landing of Drogon. I encourage him to follow me and he does.
Daenerys dismounts from Drogon then walks over to me. I will never get over how mighty of a Khalessi she looks wearing her mother's crown and her gifted armor. Hardly anyone would approach her without stopping to take a good look just like William is right now.
"Khalessi, this is William. He was by my side when I fought for the Golden Company. I taught him everything he knows in fighting and I asked him to join."
Daenerys smiles to me but her smile disappears when looking at William. She comes face to face with him. His blue eyes do not look away from her eyes. Daenerys studies his brown armor almost designed like that of dragon scales with a chain going from his right shoulder to his left hip.
"Will you fight for me, William? Not as a paid soldier but as a free man that wants to free others from the grip of tyrants such as Cersei Lannister?" Daenerys questions him.
William nods his head to her without hesitation. I knew he would want to join her after all the Golden Company is told of the Targaryen that began the Golden Company. Many in the Golden Company consider a Targaryen far greater than some others that have endless gold.
"Swear to me." She says to him but not in a commanding tone.
William kneels before her, drawing his long sword, placing it on the snowy ground before him. "I am yours, Daenerys Targaryen. My sword is yours, my council is yours and my life is yours." William then bows his head to her.
Daenerys places her hand on his shoulder for a few moments then tells him, "Rise, Ser William Knight of the Queen's Guard."
William stands to his feet smiling to her then to me. I knew how much this meant to him. Ever since he was a boy, he wanted to be a knight fighting for someone he could believe in and now he has that with Daenerys Stormborn.
William smiles back at Daenerys filling a dream what many don't live to see. Daenerys gives a smile to William as the flames are crackling behind her and Drogon roars with all his might knowing what is happening. The sight of Daenerys feels exactly like it did when I expected to find her nothing but bones and ash, instead the songs of Dragon and her children born. I stand next to him, knowing how overwhelming but astonishing all of this is.
William sheathes his long sword and asks, "What is our next move, Khalessi?"
"We wait for Theon and Yara Greyjoy. They should be here any moment now. The Winter Fox knew that Theon and some men loyal to Yara would attack the fleet and free Yara. So the Winter Fox gave council to give Cersei the offer while distracting Euron and Cersei as the attack was happening. Drogon flew around destroying the Scorpions setup all around the city walls. The flamed sigils are all my doing."
"In short, all of the destroyed ships and weaponry, it sets Cersei back long enough to deal with the Night King and the Army of the Dead." I say in amazement of the council the Winter Fox gave to Daenerys.
Drogon roars at the sight of at least over five dozen men and women approaching us. Daenerys turns to see it is Theon and Yara as she said it would be. Daenerys goes to Yara and Theon, pleased to see both of them safe.
"Are you alright?" Daenerys asks Yara that looks beaten and battered up badly by Euron's men.
"It will take more than that to beat me down. However I am grateful Theon got the guts to come back for me." Yara says then spits out a big one to the left side of her.
"It was the least I could do after all she has done for me." Theon says with a bloody nose. It looks like he got head butted by Yara with the touch of blood on her forehead from hitting him.
Theon shakes hands with Daenerys as do some of the other men with them. Daenerys exhales in joy of what has been accomplished yet however none of this is over.
"I am going back North to help in the fight against the White Walkers. What would you like to do Yara?"
"I want to take back the Iron Islands in your name while Euron is away and weakened. We can take our home back. And if needs be, the Iron Islands will be a place of retreat if the North cannot be held. Somewhere the Dead can't go. Will you allow this?"
"Of course, Yara. Take your men with you. Jorah, William and I will fly back to Winterfell. Send word as soon as you take back the Iron Islands." Daenerys says about to walk to Drogon until Yara tells Theon to stop where he stands.
"Theon, I know you want to go North and fight for the Starks. Go." Yara tells him.
Theon is about to speak but Yara stops him and extends her hand out to him. Theon knows he cannot argue with Yara and takes her hand in his. He must want to go back to right many of the wrongs he has done to the Starks and defend Winterfell since he took it from them during the War of Five Kings.
"What is dead may never die." They both say at the same time then hug it out for a brief moment.
After their embrace, Yara taps on his shoulder one more time as if this will be the last time she sees Theon. But I believe this will not be the last time they see each other. They are survivors and they will survive through what is to come.
Yara and the other men that follow her go with her to their four ships they managed to take from Euron. Theon remains with the three of us and we all go to Drogon. Drogon roars at Daenerys ready to head back to his dragon brother, Rhaegal that is still in the North.
William and Theon are nervous to approach Drogon however when Daenerys steps onto his shoulder, I follow right behind her. William grins the biggest grin a man can in the fact that he is about to fly on the back of a dragon. William and Theon manage to climb onto the back of Drogon. Daenerys tells all of us to hold on tight just before Drogon shifts his body ready for Daenerys to give the word.
"Soves, Drogon!"
Drogon stomps forward, moving across the fields then leaps into the air. Drogon flies high up into the snow clouds. Theon and William let out terrified screams. We all hang on for dear life as the cold wind blows into our faces. I hear their screams turn into screams of joy. My eyes turn back to William who is laughing in happiness to one of the few people to ride a dragon in the world. I smile in joy to see him after the years we have been apart. I am happy that he is here with me and Daenerys now.
All four of us are smiling, laughing in such joy with the vast lands covered in snow far below us. Drogon soars through the sky as his head remains leveled with the rest of his body. Drogon gives out an amazing vocal almost like he is singing to all of Westeros flying. Drogon glides through the sky, pivoting back toward the direction of the North.
I take notice to a few ravens flying close by Drogon as if they were watching us for a reason. It must be Bran Stark or as he is called the Three Eyed Raven. H
e must have watched all that took place here. All in all, it does not matter why the Three Eyed Raven is watching the events that occurred.
Now it will only take most of a day or day and a half to fly back to the North; it depends on the further snow storms on the flight there. I just hope that when returning, it will be as the Winter Fox says; the North will beg for Daenerys's help, giving her all the respect she deserves even supporting her claim to the Iron Throne.
Author's Note - Hey everyone. I hope this chapter was a good read. Onto the new character I introduced as William. The face actor of William will be none other than #WilliamMoseley. He is one of my favorite actors since I first saw Chronicles of Narnia, The Royals, Raven's Hollow, Silent Mountain and much more. I thought it would be fitting to have him in the story.
I hope everyone is doing well. More chapters to come. Have an awesome day! - Faith Hammett XOXO ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
