When the mirror steals your spirit,

And can't look you in the eye,

When you're bawling at a Disney movie,

And you've no idea why,

When you've written a hundred letters,

That you're never going to send,

That is when you really, really need a friend.

When there's no-one you can talk to,

But you've got so much to say,

Or if you need some silent empathy,

To make it through the day,

When you think you've reached your limit,

And you want it all to end,

That is when you call me,

And I will come and be your friend.
