"Sir! We found an unconscious kid under the hay, his foot shackled in chains to the ground" Glen, one of my shadow guard who's always around me said quietly so only I could hear. Claude stood near the hay looking at me for further instructions. Claude was Glen's partner in crime. Generally both stay low key but today was an exception so my two men blended with Sergio's guards for my sake alone.
I looked into the stormy misty eyes of zenovia up above for the first step. "Keep an eye outside. We won't know if someone attacks us" I say, She looks at me in defiance. My Zinovia is smart but I know if she sees him like this the mother in her heart will break her beyond repair. I can tell because I have seen my comrade torture kids of the traitors more brutally till their last breath and I watched their parents traumatising watching the whole ordeal and I enjoyed the sickening pleasure it brought me. But I never want to see the same expression on her face. For some reason it saddens me. My heartached when I saw tears flowing from her pearly eyes in front of her dad just by mentioning her child's name. The anger I felt was unreasonable my logical brain but when I touched her waist the only way to I could support her for the moment my anger vaporized but the pain remained.
"Fine" for a moment I felt she could see through me before she gave in and disappeared from my sight.
"Means he's alive." I stated. "Barely." His answer was Short and sufficient, just what I appreciate. "Glen! Get him to hospital. Take miss with you Alongwith two guards. Use the helicopter." I ordered. Claude was already on his way freeing Kai. Glen stared at me confused, his job is to follow my commands and not double check my words "Quick!" I growled almost loosing my cool. "Sir!" He straightened saluted before holding kai in his arms when claude brought him over and helped glen climb the ladder. I looked around. I didn't gave the bloodied a second glance. I was unsure if seeing him in this state will leave a satisfying notion on me. Then How will I face zenovia in future?
"Sir. Ma'am has ordered to report them to the police including Ashley since her phone can't get network here.." one of her guards informed me from the top. "I'll do that." If only she hadn't said this. I wouldn't even let their corpse decay in piece.
Glen departed. The whirring sound of helicopter travelled down here. That must've alerted the rats and brought them enough time to hide before our arrival. "Find them." I seethed, I knew they were still here.
Claude stood there for five minutes focusing on the rustling and smelling out the rats scent, Next thing, he dragged one by his long hairs from behind the hay "Please let me go fucker!!"
and wrecked the old crates with his bare hands and pulled out from inside two baggy clothed like street thugs by their collars "We didn't did anything! Let us leave."
"Please lemme go." They flapped their legs in air but no one cared.
"No!! Fuck shit."
stacking all the three at my feet in next five minutes.
"Too many for one damn 4 year old." I tsked.
I laid back on the chair next to the table resting one leg on the other before starting the ordeal. The three were already kneeling down in line, Claude didn't let them raise their heads standing behind the three ready to rack them on my command.
Shaking, sweating, begging, breathing like it's their last, What I wanted to see they exhibited. Drilling with my stares contented I asked very simple to the point easy question.
"Who ordered you?"
Quiet.
"Alright! Let's try again. Claude, help them understand my language." Thick italian accent took over my tongue.
Claude fired at the third one's leg, the other two shrinked and his painful squeal soothing my overpowering anger.
"Who paid you to abduct the kid? I said slowly but they only flinched more.
"As-ashley Caya-" the middle one confessed but I cut him short.
"What will she gain by killing him?" Calmly I went slow with them. They weren't professional killers, it was obvious. Scaring these a little works fine.
"She told us nothing about her gain. Only offered us a good sum of money!" The other almost squealed but the stutter in his voice told me he was just about to cry.
"Claude I want her here. Now." I warned that plastic bitch the first time I saw her with zenovia but I guess she didn't understood my intention.
"Sir. It'll take One hour." Claude suggested.
That was long.
"Let's end it here." I brushed off the dirt from my clothes as I towered over the middle one in specific "You're lucky she wants you safe in jail." I said patting his clammy pale cheek.
"Wh-who are you?" He unwanted question earned him a bullet in his right calf.
I walked past them to leave the place. It was a waste of time, zenovia already knew ashley was behind this. But said nothing why.
I heard from behind claude fire another bullet in the last one's forearm followed by his cry of pain. Looking down I quirked up a brow at the shooter as I reached up. "He dared to attack you boss." Claude explained. They weren't tied it was just our power that kept them at bay. I smirked. "Wrong move."
The cops were to be here in half an hour so we flew back to the hospital with the helicopter that was brought back leaving the culprits on their own.
I saw the newlines on the tv behind the receptionist while asking her the ward number. It stated 'Hubert leiteo, the director of the Paradise hospital arrested for operating a laboratory on illegal grounds and trafficking drugs. Authorized Details classified..'
That's my Zenovia's work. I surveyed through all her 'Projects' She kept heavily protected.
