The eclipse was coming

And I was so enthused

Ready to see what I only saw on TV,

When the Fire Nation was supposed to be screwed.

It was total, it was true,

It was beautiful, it was new

From my home in Oregon,

It was something I never knew.

I had no glasses, but that was fine

I was ready to go blind.

I didn't though, you wanna know why?

Because I slept in

And I fucking missed it.
