She smiles at me and I ask “Is the lady that I hit okay?” I smile and say “Good, I’m glad she’s okay.” After about 10 minutes Dallas arrives. He quickly runs up to me and says “WHAT HAPPENED?!?” I look down and say “The memories of my dad abusing me came back, I was listening to a song and I guess it triggered me and then I ran a red light and I hit a car head on.” Dallas stands there shocked and then says “I’m so glad you’re okay! I was worried to death when you called!” I hug him and say “They’re going to take me to the hospital, you can follow me if you want.” The ambulance quickly closes the door and we start driving down the road. After 20 minutes we arrive at the hospital, the paramedics take me out of the back and quickly get me inside. The nurse then helps me get on the bed and hooks me up to all the hospital equipment. She smiles at me and says “Your aunt and uncle and some boy are outside. The doctor will be in here in a few minutes, they can come in if they want.” I smile and have her bring them in. Dallas then quickly walks up to me and pulls a chair up beside me and sits down. He grabs my hand and holds it. After a few minutes the doctor walks in and says “Hello Miss. Banks, I’m here to take you to the x-ray room and to a few scans.” I nod and Dallas lets go of my hand and moves his chair away from my bed. The doctor and nurse grab my bed and pull it out of the room. After a few minutes of me being pushed around on the bed, we arrive at the X-ray room. They quickly picked me up and placed me on the X-ray machine and after hours of pictures. We finally leave and place me back in the room. I then wait 3 hours for the doctor to come back with the results and tell me what’s wrong with me. As soon as he walks in he says “Do you want to hear the good news or the bad news?” I groan and say “The bad news first.” he looks calm for some reason and then says “You broke your leg and the Lisfranc ligaments.” I groan and say “am I going to have to have crutches?” He looks at me and nods his head and then says “The good news is you don’t have to have surgery.”
