Leo's face was filled with horror and shock. Alesia was no longer covering her eyes. Even though she saw his alien form, she still trembled at seeing Jedrek's alien form.
"WH-WH-WHAT THE F-F-F...!!"
Jedrek growled. Alesia gathered her courage and went next to him. "He believes you now. You can change back." He nodded, and he slowly began to change into his human form.
Jedrek was now fully human. "Now, do you believe me, human?" He got his clothing and began to change.
Alesia stepped forward before Leo. "We came to you because you are an expert in your field and we need your help. We need your help to gather allies to help Jedrek be free."
Leo was still breathing heavily, trying to cope with what he had just witnessed. Sure, he believed the government was hiding secrets from the public eye. He also believed in life outside of Earth, but he now witnessed a man becoming an alien. Leo almost found it hard to believe that Jedrek is a half-alien.
So many questions went through his head.
"So, will you help us?"
Leo goes out of his thoughts. "Wh-What?"
"I asked if you would help us?" asked Alesia.
Leo got up and then sat back on his sofa. "T-This is too much to take, Alesia. I just saw this dude turning into an alien, and you want me to help hide him from the government!? This is wild!"
Jedrek merely rolled his eyes. "You were thought of being crazy when you believed in many conspiracies." He then looked at Alesia. "How can this lunatic help me? I can tell that he is scared as it is." Jedrek sighed and got a hold of Alesia's left hand. "As I said, I don't want you or others to get involved."
Alesia looked at Jedrek and then at Leo. "Please, Leo, Jedrek has been through so much when he lived at the government facility. His parents suffered also. His dad was an alien found on Mars and was experimented on. His mother grew up in the foster care system and was chosen to breed with Jedrek's alien father. Both are dead and now Jedrek escaped, hoping to live a normal life."
Leo eyed Jedrek, and Jedrek did the same. "If that is the case and he did escape, then this so-called facility is not far from here, which means he already put us in danger."
Jedrek flinched. "I told Alesia that I would rather face this alone, but she is adamant that she wants to help. She can be stubborn."
Leo then glanced at Alesia, who looked at him pleadingly. He let out a long sigh. "Fine, I'll do it. This is a great opportunity to shed some light about the government."
"You should do no such thing. If people discover my existence, I will have no peace; other governments and black markets will try to come after me."
"Jedrek has a point, Leo. I want Jedrek to be safe and live a normal life. Is that something you would want if you were in his situation?"
It was silent between the three. Leo massaged his head. "Okay, I will help, but you can't stay in your home, Alesia. As I said before, we are all in danger since Jedrek is an important asset to the government. I have a buddy in the military who has a huge distrust of the government. I will call him up so you both can meet him."
"Thank you, Leo! Thank you!" Alesia hugged him.
Jedrek bit his lower lip.
"Well, we gotta go. Call when your buddy comes by."
The two left Leo's house. "Are you sure you can trust him?"
"Leo may not look like it, but he can help us. Anyway, I want to take you out."
"Out?"
Alesia smiled. "Yeah, I want to show you how to be human!"
