Supper was a rousing affair because Pajo and Prima were such great hosts.
Aiden, who had a nice healthy appetite, did full justice to the fried rice and beef carpaccio, accompanied by sun-dried tomatoes and spring onion salad which was spiced with chicken breast slices.
For dessert, a delicious strawberry cake smothered in strawberry ice cream was served.
Finally they all sipped chamomile and ginger tea in the lounge together.
Turning towards White and Aiden, Prima said. "Pajo and I will be at Beach Polo next Friday. Why don't you two join. I promise it's all for a meaningful cause."
"I have heard of it," White pointed out as set down his teacup and saucer.
"Four teams are competing, times including Thailand, Hong Kong, Belgium and what's the other country?" Pajo shrugged towards Prima.
"Germany," Prima supplied.
"Thank you."
"There would be a buffet lunch at 12: 30 pm and free champagne will be served. It's definitely going to be a sporting spectacle."
"What do you think?"
White turned to Aiden.
"We would be happy to attend. I am sure the atmosphere would unforgettable," Aiden responded smoothly.
They all went to bed an hour or so later.
In his nice comfortable room, Aiden changed into his pj's and thought about Han.
It's been a while since their altercation at the Alumni brunch and as he brushed his teeth, Aiden wished he knew more about his current life.
Getting into bed and turning off the bedside lamp, Han was still on his mind when he fell asleep.
Aiden slept like a child and was up, he showered, dressed and joined his hosts together with White for breakfast.
After the wonderful meal was over, Aiden bade his new friends a warm goodbye and found himself in the Jaguar once more, being driven amidst. "We will see each other at the Beach Polo."
The plane soared above the Gulf of Thailand as the passengers took in breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline.
When the plane landed, May alighted feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
She was finally in Hua Hin.
Coming out of the airport clutching her handbag together with her matching Tiffany-blue colored luggage she found Yim waiting for her.
"Surprise, surprise," Yim smiled as he reached out to help her with the luggage.
May grinned with gratitude.
"Hello Yim, it's always good to see you."
They walked towards Yim's car.
"The air is so refreshing," May remarked to her companion.
"I hope you are going to stay for a while. You didn't say so in your text message."
"I will stay until my plans are finalized," May said this like someone about to play a trump card.
Yim looked at her with suspicious gleam in his eye.
"By plans you mean White?"
May only smiled and kept on walking.
Yim drove May to the Cape Nidhra hotel, which was perched on a breathtaking beach with easy access to the night market and other shopping centers.
May opted for one of the garden suites which featured a private pool and garden in the exotic atmosphere of Cape Nidhra.
Upon entering the suite a large bouquet of red roses greatest then.
"Who are they from?" May asked.
"I am sure White sent them," Yim answered sarcastically.
"How sweet of him," May gushed, ignoring his sarcasm.
She took out the envelope tucked between the rose petals.
"What does it say!" Yim asked with a disdainful expression.
May read out the card: "I will see you soon, with all my love White."
"He seems devoted to you."
"As he should be," May responded as she sat down.
In a quick sudden move, Yim joined May on the sofa and kissed her passionately.
May managed to disengage herself from Yim after a moment's struggle.
"That's not a kiss among friends, Yim," May rebuked.
She stood up and went over to the mirror to inspect her face and hair.
Yim followed her.
Their eyes met in the mirror.
Yim's eyes sparkled with anger, lust and love.
"I have been waiting to do that for a long time."
May ignored this remark and rather requested as she applied lipstick to her lips.
"Yim, please make me a lemon drop."
"Choosing White was a blow to my ego," Yim continued as the made the lemon drop, "but I still like to dream about you and me."
"In my dream you realize you made the tragic mistake of your life by not choosing me."
"You are not in love with me Yim. You are just obsessed because I chose White," May observed carefully when Yim brought the lemon drop.
Yim tried to kiss May again.
She responded with a slap.
"This game you and White are playing with Aiden will not end well. Trust me!"
May turned away.
"Goodbye Yim."
"You are only fooling yourself May. You are in love with White and he is obsessed with Aiden."
May gazed at him again.
"What a rotten thing to say Yim. I am very disappointed," May said before she threw the lemon drop into his face.
"I should have taken you when I had the chance," Yim continued without flinching as the liquid dripped down his face and onto his clothes.
May rushed to the door and opened it.
"It's too late now. Get out!"
"I am leaving but mark my words White will be your undoing."
Long after Yim had left his final ominous words kept ringing in May's head.
It was a celebration of prestige and equestrian excellence. The social brought Polo players and luxury brands together to raise funds for the Royal Albert Trust.
After indulging in a gourmet buffet lunch, White and Aiden together with Pajo and Prima took their seats before the tournament started.
The horses shifted nervously from side to side on the sandy beach as the bright golden sunlight dipped slowly over the seaside resort.
Spectators sipped champagne and vied for the best vantage points, awaiting eagerly for the match to start.
But it was the thoroughbred ponies and the players sitting on them who were the stars of this sporting spectacle.
Something made Aiden take a careful look at the Polo players.
His eyes fell on Han.
Aiden immediately felt like he could not breathe.
It was like a fire was started within him and it was slowly rioting out control.
One of the umpires lifted up the whistle to his lips and the studded hooves of the ponies began galloping across the wide sandy beach.
As the match blootered in gear, grains of sand were sent flying into the air by the galloping horses as the players tried to hit small ball with their wooden mallets.
The heightened anticipation caused enthusiastic cheers but all Aiden could do was not to take his eyes off Han.
And each time Han looked in Aiden's direction, he felt his stomach clenching.
Just before the next match commenced, waiters brought them more champagne.
But as the waiter handed Aiden his champagne flute he noticed a folded piece of paper stuck the stem of the glass.
Aiden looked up at the waiter who a quick nod of acknowledgement then disappeared.
Aiden stole a glance at White.
He was busy talking to Pajo and Prima.
Aiden secretly removed the paper while making sure White was not in the know.
It was a note from Han and it simply told him to come to the lobby of the resort hotel.
"Aiden."
Aiden shivered with fright when he heard White call his name.
"Is something the matter?" White's voice was solicitous.
"No," Aiden fumbled with the piece of paper.
"Pajo and Prima wants us to go meet the players."
Aiden cringed but masked it with a smile.
"Would you like to come along?"
"Why don't you go along with them and I will join you later," Aiden suggested innocently.
White nodded and a kiss was exchanged.
With their departure Aiden was finally alone and could now think about what to do.
As White, Pajo and Prima made their way to the section where the Polo teams were.
A hand reached out and pulled White into one of the interactive sponsor booths.
White was astonished when he realized it was May.
"Why are you here?"
White looked nervously around them.
May licked her lips in a raunchy manner.
"You are becoming a little too obsessed with Aiden and I don't think I like that."
"I told you to wait for my call," White caught his breath while still on the lookout for Aiden.
May gazed up at White and folded her arms.
"Where you ever going to call? I got tired of waiting."
"May... please be reasonable and don't be difficult. You know I will come see," White declared roughly.
May moved closer and started caressing White's chest before wrapping her arms around his neck.
White felt surrounded by her and by the scent of the perfume she wore.
And as May lowered his head down to hers, White did not resist before their lips invaded each other in a long heart pumping kiss.
When it ended, May warned: "Don't make me suspicious of you."
"Please go back to the hotel and wait. I will come see you," White persisted as he looked out for any appearance of Aiden.
"Just don't change our plans or else I will start having ideas...."
May turned and walked away.
