I stand at the sea.

In the light of the dying sun,

the waves shine a molten gold,

and the birds mourn the end of the day

as the wind ruffles the pages of memories old.

I watch as the waves lash out at the rocks,

with a hate so strong it could sizzle and burn,

but with a love even fiercer,

to never leave, always to return.

And I stand at the sea.

I look up at the sky,

as it refuses to give in to the night

it mourns the echoes of the dying sun,

sheds tears of love, of the reminiscent of the suns light.

The sea looks on

as I spread my wings,

a lost bird, desperate to fly,

to prove wrong all the mock sings.

And I let go.

For the last time, I fly.

For one wild moment,

as the ground beneath disappears,

the bird erupts in hope,

to cut through the binding spears.

I pray that I rise,

that for once, I fly above it all,

But alas, l tempt fate,

and I fall and fall.

But the sorrow does not last long,

as I recall what in the story next follows,

a fallen angel, l close my eyes and smile,

and just wish to be pulled into the sea's hollows.

The sea remains loyal, a friend,

doesn’t allow me to mourn memories stole, it knows my soul, does not betray,

and I sigh as it swallows me up whole.

I finally feel the peace

and I become a fallen star,

the one legends are spun about.

And in the echoes of its last thrums, my heart rejoiced,

for, beneath the steady gurgle of the foam,

wrapped in the waves’ embrace,

the sea whispered, 'welcome home'.

Among the sea,

in the glittering sunset waves,

my soul will live on,

my memories will be treasures

in the bottom of the sea,

never truly torgotten，
