But no words come out

My tongue forms them

But there is no sound

It was like someone put me on mute

Eventually, I manage to get out a small

He nods and flashes another

Reveals

Two dimples on

Of his mouth

I smile back

It’s like his is contagious

Affecting me with side effects of

Butterflies

And

Sparks

Like fireworks going off in my body

I try to snuff them out

The butterflies and fireworks alike

I shouldn’t feel like this

I shouldn’t feel happy

I can’t get

But it may be too late

My eyes drift over to him

Like he is metal and they are magnets

I try to focus on the board

But I am aware of him like fire

Like he’s the sun and he’s radiating heat

And I feel like ice cream

The wall around heart

Drip

Dripping

Onto the floor

But I stop it

I don’t even know him

Stones go back up

He could be making fun of me
