My favorite song is "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay. Coldplay is my second favorite band (after Imagine Dragons). I have a lot of reasons why I adore this song, so I will name most of them here. Thanks for reading!293Please respect copyright.PENANAERY3yDV9Gf

First of all, this is me and my friend's anthem, which is one of the reason's why it's really special to me. I guess we've bonded over this song, and I won't ever stop thinking about him when I'm listening to it. Shoutout to you bro, even if you're probably not going to read this: I would've never survived this place without you, and I'm so, so thankful that you exist in my life! 293Please respect copyright.PENANAgCUpwneT4i

#1 - I love how it sounds on the guitar and the piano.
It's true, "Viva la Vida" is my favorite song to play on both instruments. Whenever I get my hands on my electric or acoustic guitar, I always play this song first. When I want to play it softer and slower, I play it on the piano. It even gets to the point where it annoys my family because of the number of times I play and sing the song every single day. I think I have over five covers saved on my phone for this song, and it's probably not the last.

#2 - The Lofi version helps me focus a lot better.
I listen to Lofi and classical music while writing or doing homework. If I don't, my mind goes blank and I just completely lose my focus. No matter how hard I try to pay attention, my mind slowly drifts off with the most random thoughts and I never see them coming. However, listening to music just gets me in the zone of whatever I'm doing.
I find that the Lofi version of "Viva la Vida" helps me focus the most. I once had this song on loop about ninety times while working, and I still never got tired of it, which is a rare instance for me when it comes to music.293Please respect copyright.PENANAYGR3lVkO8h

#3 - I bond with my dad over music, especially this song.
When it's only my dad and me in the car, we always have some kind of music on (which my mom absolutely hates). We take turns choosing songs and that way, we discover more of each other's music tastes. My dad either plays contemporary Christian music or some old Korean bands I've never heard of.
Fortunately, when I played this song for him for the first time, he liked it a lot. Now whenever we drive somewhere together, we have this song playing on my phone. Finally a song we can both agree on!

#4 - This song is just fantastic in general.
I love everything about this song, from the intro to the outro. I love the instruments they used, the pace, and the fact it's so catchy.
I find the lyrics brilliant and clever too. It's not portraying the king in a hateful, negative way. But it's from the king's perspective, showing how regretful he was with his power. And in this song, he was feeling pretty much helpless.
Some of my favorite lyrics from the song:

"One minute, I held the key
Next, the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand."

"And revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Who would ever wanna be king?"

And of course, the entire chorus.

These are all of the reasons why I love the song "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!
