These words I speak are not my own

I don’t have words to depend on

This blood, this brain, this skin, this bone

This endless war that rages on

These thoughts I think are not my own

I don’t have thoughts to depend on

This heart, this mind, this soul, alone

This endless heart of hardened stone

And I don’t know what love is

Everybody’s telling me to listen to them

In this cosmic parable

Everybody’s stripping me from who I am

But I do know what death is

Wise men say it’s not the way

To bring your fists to a knife fight

The sun sets after every day

Can I find out

What’s always been denied me?

This burning sun it blinds me

Can I find an out?

Can I become

Someone without burden

Who doesn’t seek for pardon

When they’re being dumb

Can this blood flow

The way it’s always meant to

The way my spirit calls through

Society’s flow

Can this world be

One world without fences?

Have we run out of chances

To make them all see?

These fear that hope will not abate

All people else I try to sate

This spirit that is full of hate

Every moment they will rate

All the blame on me does grate

Though I have nothing on my plate

They think it’s all up to fate

I want to overthrow this state

And I do know what life is

Even though it’s something that I never have had

In this bloody uprising

I have no idea who’ll be victory-clad

But I don’t know what help is

It has been the one thing people never have gave

They want me to be grateful

And by that they mean working myself into my grave

Who I am is just determined by everybody

Who’s given grief, not power in this society

Who I am it helps determine who I will be

Who I am is something to be held in my teeth

Who I am always belongs to everybody

Who’s given grief, not power in this society

Who we are all together is a family

Who we are all together is true clarity

Who we are all together is eternity

Who’s given grief, not power in this society

Who we are all together, always silenced

Who we are all together, strewn in violence

Who we are all together has no sequence

Who we are all together will be vengeance
