Dear Daisy,
Brennan was talking to us on Monday and he told us about a beach party a bunch of people would be at. I think this is the first time I had actually gone to a party too. I’m surprisingly sad I never went to a party before. It was a blast. Why did we never go to them when you were here? I feel like you would have loved it. Sometimes I wish you were alive or well I always wish you were alive but it's times like this when I know you would have loved something like this.
Since it was summer and it was on the beach we all decided to just wear swimsuits. Half of us walked down and the rest of us carpooled with Zinnia. Daffi and I decided to walk down together since it’s close to where I live. We decided to do something and match our swimsuits. His shorts had pink leaves with a green background and mine were green leaves with a pink background. Embarrassing? Yes. But I might as well enjoy my life. I felt a bit awkward not wearing a shirt there. But it was hot at the beach so it was expected. On the way there, I wore a towel like a poncho though.
Everyone was near the second car park instead of the first one so Daffi and I ended up walking on the beach for a bit since we entered at the wrong place. It was nice though, so I didn’t mind it. We don’t get much time anymore to properly talk like this. Normally someone else was with us when we hang out. A lot of it was us just walking in silence just enjoying each other's presence. Sometimes we would talk about things but they were short conversations.
When we did get to the beach it was so loud. At first, it was a bit annoying but I think I slowly adjusted. Turns out our walk made us later than when we thought. We had to walk through some crowds to find Zinna and everyone else. Iris was just chilling away from everything with Dahlia. Zinnia was with a group of people that I didn’t really know. I had seen a few of them dropping Zinna off at the centre every now and then but that was almost it. I did recognise one of the people surrounding them though. It was Mark! For some reason, we keep on meeting at beaches. I’m starting to think she lives at them.
I would have thought the loud music and smell of sweaty teenagers would be too much but I found myself having a lot of fun. Daffi and I danced for ages on the sand. Though it more so looked like we were intoxicated which is funny because at that point we hadn’t even started drinking. The kids that went to BWS hadn’t come back with drinks yet. It just shows how shit we are at dancing. Per usual Zinnia got it on camera. I think every time I watch it I die a bit. How did we look the worst out of everyone? There were at least 50 other people dancing. At least we had fun.
Daffi and I met up with Brennan and Dia who were chilling and just sitting on the shore with some drinks they had brought themselves. They shared a bit and let me just say, drinking straight alcohol burns so bad. Daffi genuinely looked like he was suffering. Brennan and Dia seemed slightly used to it, only flinching every now and then. Now that I think about it I should have checked what I was drinking because I just took a random bottle from their bag and went with it.
All of us later met up when more alcohol and snacks were brought by the hosts. We ate some chips, drank a lot and just enjoyed ourselves. While I’m not used to being in massive crowds this was still fun. Dancing with my friends and just being free to really do anything we wanted.
From what I remember, the party lasted till about 1 am until cops came up due to disturbances. I don’t remember much from about 10ish up until that point. But I know I loved every second of that party.
