"Jensen come on!!! We got to study!" I said all seriously. 

We have a history test to study for and I've been out during all the lessons. Jensen convinced me to go with him to a five day vacation. Ghaw! And we lied to our teacher that we both got really sick at a restaurant. He felt for it but I felt really bad. 

"Don't worry. Professor is going to cut us some slack cuz we've been out." He commented, slapping my back. 

"We are in college! They don't give us slack! Jensen!"

He was on his phone while I was talking. "Damn! You sound like my girl, always nagging at me. You sure your not a girl under that mask?"

"Are you trying to play me?" I was about to jump him. I know I act like that, but I don't like being called a girl. 

"I wasn't trying." And right when he said that, I grabbed onto his head. "Bruh chill!"

"Imma fuck you up!" I wanted to choke him out of the chair but then. . . What if I kill him?

"Okay! Okay! We will study!" I let him go of him and he slammed his phone down on the desk. "If I get scold by my girl, your taking the blame."

"Of course I will. Now open your damn textbook!"

"What's so important about this test anyways?"

"This history test is our finals! Do you want to take it again?! Because I sure don't want too." I picked up my textbook and slammed it on the table. 

"Hold up! What?!"

"And you are failing right now. And if you pass with a seventy you'll pass the class." 

"Alright. Ill take it seriously now." 

He should have been taking it seriously to start with.

"Why you start hanging out with him in the first place?" My friend asked me. We were at the college eating center. 

"I felt bad for him. . . I don't know? I mean he asked me to hang out with him. My appearance confuses people."

"Yeah it really does. Your a nerd, but you look like a Jock. That's why we were never bullied at high school." He high fived the guy beside me. 

"Well you can thank my dad for that."

"What? Taking you to the gym?"

"Hell naw his genes man. I don't have any muscles, but my body is all broad and shit. I ain't like you guys, all scrawny and stuff." I joked. 

My dad did make me go to the gym when I was smaller, but when I hit middle school, I met people who I felt comfortable with. I still talked to the sports people, but I didn't like them at all. 

Multiple girls asked me out, and I said yes of course. But when they saw the other side of me, the 'nerd side'. They broke up with me, but never told others why they did. 

But who cares anyway? I just like hanging out with my real friends. I can act like an idiot without being judged. . . That much. And we can all be serious when It's time to be. 

"Hey Jean." Jensen came up to the table. "Come hang out with me." He had his girlfriend on his arm. 

"Yeah, no. Still pissed off." I answered. 

"Come on! Why you hanging out with these nerds anyway?"

"Stop acting like you are in high school. We are in college. Act like your age."

"You are going to let him talk to you that way?" His girlfriend asked. She act like she was going to do something. I would laugh as she tried to hurt me. 

"No." He answered. "My bad. They're your friends right?"

"Yes they are." I said with no emotion. "I don't let no one talk bad about them."

"Okay. . . Um, your coming to my apartment today so we can study. I really need to pass this final."

"Yeah. Sure, whatever."

"Thanks." He said walking off.

"Man I'm confused." My friend said after we didn't see him anymore. 

"I think we are all confused here." I responded. The hell is he trying to accomplished?

"Time for some investigation!!!" 

"No. Just stick with your comic book."

"Whatever man."

"Let's take a break." Jensen said to me. We were on his bed and I was getting irritated. 

"No! We just got started!" 

"Why do you act like this?" He asked me. 

"It's a time to be playful and a time to be serious. This is a time for seriousness." I replied to his question. "Now lets continue. I already know this stuff but do you?"

"Of course I don't know anything. But I don't like to study, I'm not built for that. And I got to text my girl."

"You can text her later." When he pulled his phone out, I snatched it away from him. 

"Come on dude. Let me just tell her what I am doing, shes going to get pissed."

"Fine. Then I'll leave." I gave him his phone back and hopped out of this bed. 

"Wait!" 

"What?!"

"Um. . . Nothing. Nothing."

"Alright then I'll take my leave then."

"Mom, I don't know what to do?" I said. She called me up just to have a mother and son day. Me at this age, I don't know if I should be embarrassed or not. 

"What happened?" She asked. I finally got a rest from her shopping. 

"Well. I started to hang out with this person, and they are a bad influence. And they don't know anything about what's going to be on the finals so I'm trying to help. But they just can't study! But they keeps asking me to help!"

"Wow, what a mouthful. Let me just process all of this." She joked. 

"Mom."

"Alright. Alright." She took a deep breath. "Jean, you are really slow at times. And I think this "person" is a girl. Because it sounds like she is using studying to get closer to you. She likes you my idiot son."

"Ooh. . . Uhhh?" Oh god. Nope nope nope. Well its a guy so it's a diffrent story. Should have told her it was a guy. "Mom it's a guy."

"Oh well he's gay then. Don't know what to tell you there." She laughed loudly. "You can even attract gay guys."

"Mom that's not funny." I told her with a straight face. 

"It really is. If you do go out with him. . ." She took a minute to calm down and stop laughing. People were looking now. "I would still want grandchildren that are blood tied with me. So you would have to be the bottom."

"Mom! Oh my god! Imma tell dad you said that!"

"Go ahead. He's going to get a kick out of it too."

"Ghaw. Why do I hang out with you?" I told Jensen. Tomorrow is the finals for history and after this I'm not going to hang out with him no more. 

"Because I'm awesome." His ego was in the way. 

"Well after this I'm not hanging out with you. You are childish and I don't like that. Be more mature. I'm trying to help you out. 

"Wait! What! I like being friends with you." He whined. 

"I don't like you thats why."

"But I like you. I swear I'll mature up."

The thing that my mom said came to my mind. What type of 'like' was he talking about? He's got a girlfriend. . . But still. "What type of like are you talking about?"

"Whatcha mean?" He dodged the question. 

"I'm not stupid. I'm tutoring you after all. . . I just want the truth right know." 

"I gotta girlfriend."

"It don't matter." I grabbed my stuff. 

"Wait. . . I mean, I don't care if It's a boy or a girl. . ."

"So you bi then."

"Mostly guys. With girls It's just for their asses." 

Wow. . . He's really spilling the beans right now. Usually people will tell me anything since I'm a quiet person. One time this girl told me that shehad a fling with her mother's boyfriend. Like damn! Don't know why she told me that! She just said that she needed to tell someone. But why me?

"Did I disgust you?"

"No. I really don't care either way."

"I'm not good with studying. Well I don't want too. But I knew you liked too. That's how I got close to you."

"Okay. Okay. So. . . If you do good with this studying lesson. . ." I don't mind who it is. Never had sex with a man tho. . . I don't know. I'm really confused. To be honest he's really hot. ". . . I'll let you have sex with me."

"Re- really?!"

"Yes. And if you pass. . . Then if you want to date. Then we can."

"Kinda always wanted to date you. . . Thought I gave out a lot of hints."

"Well I didn't pick up on them." I put my bag down on his bed. "Let's study here, so we don't have to ruin the mood."

"Hehehe. Okay." He said in a weird voice.

"Dude you okay? Your rubbing your back a lot. And you had trouble walking. . . You had to take breaks." My friend said laughing. 

"Shu- just shut up."

"You're in a bad mood I can tell."

"Hey Jean." Jensen came up and rubbed my back. "I broke up with her."
