And then Came You

The man stopped at the Bar.

He looked at the truck drivers.

In his left hand was a gun.

The tables were clean.

'And then came you', was written in blood on the walls.

He shivered.

'What does that mean?', he asked the young waitress.

'It's what Daddy wrote before he dropped dead from a heart attack back in '73', she answered.

'Jesus'.

'Jesus has nothing to do with this place'.

'And the point is?'.

'Death is here'.

She grabbed the knife in her right hand, and stabbed him in the chest. The man crumpled to the hard ground, and was taken away in a body bag. 'Take the trash out, Bob'.

'Sure will, Anne'.

And she smiled, as she went back to work at the all-night Bar.
