Chained to the past

I won’t last

Dissonant sounds

Vultures abound

Told to rest in my nest

Hide from the rest

Rely on mom

Forever in the dawn

They were lairs all along

I was never apart of their song

A false bond

A knife to my chest

Told to do my best

Inches from the cliff

Never taught how to lift

My Wings nothing but strings

Yet they believe

I should fly and sing

But they never taught me a thing

I’m forced to go where I’m told I belong

Tumbling along

Down into the deep pond

I should’ve seen

That the only sound gifted to me

by these cruel Queens

Was a Swan Song’s Bitter Melody
