I cry for the land, I cry for the sea,
I cry for you and I cry for me.
I cry for for the innocent and for the guilty.
For clean consciences and those that are filthy.
I cry for the young, I cry for the old,
I cry for the meek, I cry for the bold.
I Cry for the smoke and for the ashes,
As they mark the earth like cuts and slashes.
I cry for needless, appaling pollution
And our front row seat to the world's execution
But I believe in hope and I believe in dreams
And I take comfort in knowing nothings as it seems
