After Transfiguration today, I was ready to go back to my dorm and sleep through lunch. I’m still pretty out of it. Anyway, as I was leaving, James and Peter pulled me aside when I left the classroom. Sirius was still inside. “What are you doing?” I asked the two of them. They shushed me and peeked around the corner of the door. We waited for probably five minutes. Everyone had left, and Mcgonagall finally addressed Sirius. “Mr. Black, why are you still here? I dismissed the class nearly ten minutes ago.” Sirius grinned and said, “Well, Minnie, I’m contemplating what life really means, you know? I’m wondering whether any of us actually have a purpose.” There was a moment of silence. Then, Sirius added, “Plus, James glued my arse to my chair with some magical adhesive, so… I can’t really leave.” Mcgonagall shook her head. “Next time, Mr. Black, please lead with that.” 268Please respect copyright.PENANAFMKPK3MM2x
James and Peter started cackling and revealed themselves to Sirius and Mcgonagall. “Come on, mate. Let’s head to lunch,” James said, casting a spell to release Sirius from the enchanted glue. Sirius jumped up and chased James out of the classroom, shouting, “You are going to pay! Watch your back, Potter, because you might just wake up tomorrow with a wonderful pile of dog shit on your pillow.” I started to laugh, and Peter ran after the two of them. I watched him leave the classroom, and said, “I should probably, you know, get going. Be sure that none of them set anything on fire. Um. Have a good afternoon, professor.” I started to leave, but Mcgonagall said, “You’re a wonderful friend, Mr. Lupin. An amazing student, as well. Don’t think it all goes unnoticed.” I nodded. “Thank you, professor.” I hurried to catch up to the others, who were wrestling at the end of the corridor. Yeah. It was pretty funny, exactly what I needed.
