Were finally arriving at the resort that where staying at, i'm not a huge fan of staying in public place's. As vampires being around humans is strange, luckily I don't get the thirst like most and neither does my clan. We are in control of our hunger and have been for many years.
Most vamp's are unable to control the hunger for blood, but that's down to what type of person you was before and how much humanity you had to begin with. It's why there's rule's about turning humans into newborns, you have to contact the council and apply. Which also includes a series of test's to see if your worthy, we still have the odd few that turn anyone but they are captured and dealt with as soon as possible.
Watching the tress as we go past seeing a few house's dotted around, slowly looking up the hill to see if I can spot the house my boss wants to look at. Do to few rogue vamps starting to kill randomly or turn people into we refer to them as strigoi. They have lost all connection to their humanity, they have even been known to feed on each other.
I begin to feel the car slowing down and bring my attention back to everyone, watching my brothers getting nervous. It's the first time we have been so close to humans in a long time but due to increase of dead body's showing up it was decided that some small group's where to find home's around the country to keep a eye on thing's and dispose of anything that need's handling. humans are not strong enough for the fight that may come or have the equipment to deal with strigoi.
'We have arrived lord, are you sure this is the place?' Henry the driver asks
looking out the window to see and it's definitely the right building, though it does seem smaller then I thought. It will do for a few nights well I hope.
'Yes this is the right place, but why is there so many police cars and officers around?' our boss reply's.
We begin to open the doors of the Range rover's and start pilling out as there is 30 of us in total but most of them will be taking turns in securing the area and looking for any evidence in the area. I look over at some of the younger men as they slam the doors closed, I notice Cain walk up to them and slapping them all around the head with some others.
'What was that for?' Marco whines
'Slamming the door your idiots, there is people sleeping' Phill say's back to them in a warning tone
We watch as the younger ones just lower their head as a sign of respect, Phill is the leader but to me and Cain he is our brother is arm's.
As were all gathering we notice the all too familar smell of rotten body's, we act as normal as possible as I look over at the first team to be on look out and track where that smell is coming from. No human will be able to smell that stench but the police dogs sure can as we hear them barking in the distance, But we all know that the dogs wont find the source before our men will.
The rest of us begin to walk towards the entrance then it hit's me the most intoxicating scent, peaches, lavender and linen. It's everywhere slightly faint but still there. The closer we get the stronger the scent and I just let my feet do the work. I also notice police officers everywhere inside some in undercover or was woken up and thrown on the closest items available.
Me, Cain and our boss Phillip start walking towards the reception and I find the source of that amazing scent. I notice that Phill is looking at me and noticing something is up. I give him the look to say i'll tell him once where alone.
From the moment I saw her, she took my breath away. Her doe golden brown eye's, pale skin, light brown hair with a slight curl. She is just perfection, I feel the pull straight away but she doesn't notice. Well at least it doesn't seem like she does, then she smile's and that's when I know that i'm done for.
It's rare for us to find our mate's, we normally just find another vampire to mate with. I haven't seen a vampire find their true destined mate is such a long time, we all thought it was a myth. The last known story was an elder found his but it was too late she had become a strigoi before he could offcially claim her.
There was rumors that they had been together a few time's but she was taken by a man claiming to be the leader of the strigoi. There was also a rumor of a child but one was never found. She had tried to escape but they caught her before we could intervene. Once you become one you can never be a normal vampire again, There's something in them that just rots the brain and remove's all humanity from them.

I watch as Cain does all the talking as I just stare at her needing to know every inch of her face her arm's. Looking at every mole and freckle that I can see. I get a little jealous of him as he talk's to her and I'm just tongue tied around her.
I hear Phill whisper to one of the guy's to look into her as he knew that I had found my mate. My person, the other half to my soul my being.
He will just want to know about her and her past as we still need to protect our kind at all cost. We don't live in fear of humans anymore but we are cautious, the last time they knew they was on a hunting spree. Now they think we are a myth and that's good but that will be a fun conversation with this beauty infront of me.
That I can't seem take my eye's off, them hips swaying as she walk's. Breathing her scent is just the perfection and is a big distraction, I know she's talking but I can't concentrate. I watch as she point's to different parts of the building saying what it was, but her voice is like a song to my ear's like a sweet melody made just for me.
I wonder what it would sound like calling my name. I need to clear my head and concentrate which is going to be hard with her around. And that wont be the only hard thing that I'll have to deal with tonight well this morning.
I watch as she takes us through to the back and through to outside and we see a small cottage and a single extension of the main building directly opposite. She guides us towards the extension known as the V.I.P suite, then I watch as she points to the small cottage.
'If you need anything I live right there so your welcome to knock' Ze says
Wonderful I can keep her close, then I notice the rotten smell is quite pungent around her place. I look over to Phill and Cain and they both notice the same, Cain quickly send's a text to the others with the news. So I guess that we will be watching my new found treasure more closely now.
Once she's finished with the tour and leaves we start putting scent maskers around, as if our new friend comes back he wont be spooked away. We made a treaty with a clan on witches and they created them so you can have them in candles, oil burners or plug in's. If he comes back we will catch him and deal with the situation. But it shows that the issues is worse then we all thought, Cain sets up in a room with his laptop to send an e-mail to the council of what we have found so far.
'So it look's like someone has found there little pet after all these years' Phill says with a huge grin and a chuckle
'One she isn't a pet she is a person for starters' I reply back
'Ooo someone is touchy now she's gone' Phill say's putting his hand's up is a defensive position
'I'm not being defensive, I just don't want you calling her a pet' I say feeling defeated
They said that once you meet your mate that its hard being without them unless there dead or claimed by someone else
'Okay, Okay ill drop the nickname, but it's strange than a human is your mate, unless she's not all human?' Phill say going into thought
'Surely that snot possible, humans and vampires can't mix. look at all them women who tried' I reply back
'Well we need to look into her for a start, we need to know how this is possible. I'll get Rose to look at the libbary' Phill say's
'Okay just make sure she keeps quite about it, we both know your sister loves to gossip' I sate
'Don't worry i'll make her swear on it' Phill reply's while texting his sister
'Good on that note im gonna get unpacked and get everything set up in there, are you okay scent masking in here?' I ask
'Yeah i'll set everything up in here and the kitchen then we will do outside shortly' Dom says getting the stuff put of his bag
We brought enough for a month and getting more in a few day's.
'I suggest you take that room on the right, it face's her place' Phill says with a smirk on his face
'Whatever douche' I reply back as I head into the room
I quickly check out the window and I can see most of her place from here, I begin to empty out my bag and get everything pluged in and my laptop started on the small table I have set up in the room.
* knock knock*
'Come in' I say as i look at the door
'I'm all set up want to help me quickly do outside?' Cain says as he comes in
'Yeah sure better get it done in case that thing come's back' I say quickly
'Sounds good, also what was with you and the host? you couldn't take eye's off her and they way you was being all goody with her was enough to make me laugh' Cain say's
'It's not important just yet, plus we have a bigger fish to fry right now' I say trying not to smile thinking about her
We head outside and begin to put the herb mix's around and put some plants in with the flowers around the building, I even decide to put some around her little cottage. Until we know what and who we are dealing with I will try and protect her and keep her safe even from a distance for now. But darling one day you will be mine and I will lay claim on every inch of your body.
Once were finished doing the herbs and plants around the grounds to make sure that we wont be detected. We keep always keep the cars covered and we keep a small bag on us at all times as well as using a mist to spray. It's why we became the elite team in the army, were good at hiding especially when it comes to the enemy.
'Well i'm all done, how about you?' Cain ask's
'Yeah i'm all done here' I reply back
'Fancy a quick smoke before we debrief?' Cain says pulling out a packet of cigarette's
'Why not, it's not like it will kill us' I say with a slight chuckle
'Well ain't that the truth, as were already dead' Cain reply's with a funny face
'Your really annoying you know that right' I say back
'Only because your tired my friend' Cain says patting me on the shoulder while handing me a ciggarette.
'So how long do you think we will be here?' Cain ask's
'who knows brother, just depends if the house that were looking at tomorrow is a good fit' I reply
'Well lets hope it's a quick and we can get settled properly' Cain reply's
'Let's hope brother, but I feel like this place is the one. With the scent earlier that is still slightly lingering it seems this little place has an issue' I say back to him
'Well if there's one there is bound to be more' Cain say's
I nod in agreement, if there is one there will be more. weather the one turns others or is finding a place to settle. Either way it's not a good sign, whoever they are we will find them and remove them.
We both look up as we hear footsteps coming this way, it's her the one that will bring me to my knees with just one look. I could get lost in them eye's and that body makes me weak.
