Brielle Nyx Hadley was the first child born to her parents, Clove and Cato Hadley. She was a miracle baby, considering that she was the first baby out of many failed pregnancies to be born. She was brought up in a small house just ten minutes from the Alaskan shore, overlooked by towering mountains and cradled by the edge of the forest. Her parents were very protective and loved her fiercely. She’s always been a daddy’s girl, and always counted on her father to protect her, and to be someone she could go to when she was upset. She did however have a very special relationship with her mother and always counted on her for advice and comfort. She was educated at a local school for twelve years before dropping out in her senior year of high school because of urgent matters. Her younger brother William was born severely premature and without a heartbeat when she was eleven, and the whole situation was painful for the entire family, for the baby was kept in the NICU for weeks and almost didn’t pull through. He did however recover, but to this day faces side effects such as asthma, allergies, nightmares, lung problems, and a weak physical form. Brielle and her brother had a very special relationship, seeing as William looked up to his sister a lot, and Brielle in return protected him fiercely. In her teenage years, Brielle had a small group of acquaintances at school, though she wasn’t close to any of them, and though she was well-known at her school, she wasn’t particularly popular. She loved to go to the small local used book store and purchase classics, such as Jane Eyre and Great Expectations, and she also loved to sing, mostly lullabies and ballads that her mother sang to her when she was young. She also was trained by her parents on how to properly throw and use knives as well as spears, seeing as her parents participated in the Annual Hunger Games back in their homeland of Panem, and wanted their daughter to know how to defend herself. She was also taught proper self-defense and hand-to-hand combat skills. Not long after she turned seventeen, she met Maverick Hawthorne, a Military Sergeant Major from District Two, her parents' home District in Panem. After a while, she started to grow close to him, and eventually, much to the contempt of her parents, the two began to fall for each other. Maverick soon gained a form of unbreakable trust with Brielle and decided to tell her his true purpose in Alaska. He was an inside man on a secret project running underground in Panem, its purpose to eventually eliminate and control the citizens of the districts and capitol alike by form of biological warfare, the products of which were being produced and shipped out of Alaska as part of a pact of secrecy and protection for the forgotten land. However, this information was leaked, and soon, both Brielle and Maverick were facing the death penalty, forcing Brielle to leave her homeland and beloved family to run away with Maverick back to Panem. This included traveling incessantly through the wild lands of what was once Canada, through the wreckage of District 13, and to District 12, where they were found camping out in the woods by Adira Mellark, daughter of Katniss Mellark and Peeta Mellark. Brielle, Maverick, and Adira from there were forced to team up with others (listed above) to try and stop the secret association and save not only Panem but their families, who had been punished according to their rebellious stand.
