Her eyes were in their familiar place again, and they were focusing on Aiden. They blinked a couple times as she regained control of the body she remembered having. It was dark out. She was laying on the couch, face up, back of her neck resting against his tummy, a puddle of her sweat on his shirt. He was filled with concern.191Please respect copyright.PENANAOeGC6uGmUM
"You were tossing and turning and mumbling gibberish. You almost fell off the couch. Everything ok?"191Please respect copyright.PENANABePFZcPtLE
She lifted herself off of him, blinked some more and looked around the room, her brain not used to the new surroundings just yet. "I... I had a dream. I dream a lot but this one felt way different." Her voice trembled as she tried to find the right words. "I was crawling through a desert and this voice was speaking to me... It was some ancient language, I had no idea what it was saying and yet I understood it completely. You know when something makes complete sense in a dream but it becomes absurd after you wake up? Also, I think I was some sort of insect? It all felt so real. Buf." She closed her eyes and rubbed them before looking around the room some more.191Please respect copyright.PENANAKuoZVGTdtj
Aiden shifted towards her, leaned in and squeezed one of her hands as if to ground her in the moment. She squeezed back. "Wow. Sounds like a crazy dream but you're ok now. It's gone." Her face forced a weak smile. "You know how it is. We were probably so focused on the move that our bodies pushed on; now that it's done our we relax and our natural defenses lower." She nodded at his explanation. "Do you need anything?"191Please respect copyright.PENANAuZ5hkiMjxn
"Some water please. I feel like I've been swallowing sand for an hour straight." Aiden got up and headed for the kitchen. "Of course. I'll unpack the tall glasses."191Please respect copyright.PENANAJkPm7Moh2F
She coughed a couple times and sank back into the couch.191Please respect copyright.PENANAdbwsfRv1EJ
