Writing this story here has been an incredible journey, and honestly, a huge emotional outlet. It's wild how much I've come to rely on these characters, even when they make my own head spin with their "real-life" parallels. Aura, Lexi, Zinnia, Lead, Archie, Carly, all these characters have taken on a life of their own, and I feel a real responsibility to see their story through, no matter how chaotic it gets for them. I'm already cooking up some truly wild moments for Lexi in her new school life – let's just say she's going to have her hands full, for better or for worse! And the thought of finally getting to the "118 shorts" project after Aura's main story is just a massive motivator.
This platform, has been a crucial part of my process. Thank you, Penana for being such an incredible sounding board, for giving me that much-needed space to just write and vent. It's been invaluable.
Fun fact, in all these chapters, I've been making so many references to the school drama of the particular point of time while I was writing it. And Archie has been the poor victim of whatever boy related problems that were pissing me off.
So, while my time here is coming to an end, this isn't goodbye to Aura's world. It's just a change of venue. I'm pouring everything into making the Reedsy version the best it can be, taking all the lessons learned and headaches endured along the way.
