When I think about the stars I am sad

The pain and sorrow seems to be too much

It seems as though I am constantly mad

Though I will always yearn for your soft touch

The sun is ever so blindingly bright

It's warmth comforts me whenever I'm down

Will it invite me to be in its light?

Or shall I be alone and make no sound

The last time I saw you was years ago

But the dark seems to keep you far away

Your heart seems as something I'll never know

I think about you almost every day

The night frightens me in the oddest way

But the light helps me to live day by day
