But what is being a vampire if not relishing in the pleasure of it?

A cruel mistress is she, time

has always been my greatest foe.

Kept away from love, suffering in grime

To be hated by my own kind, we came to blows

Often I cannot make sense of such a saying

because all time has given me is a faulty suture

How then can I move on when

I am treated so poorly by my own blood?
