“ The Assassination of Edmond Harrington”

Act 15

(Curtain opens)

Scene :

Night. Outside River St., Edmond Harrington's house at 11 p.m. November, 18th, Saturday (Sebastian sneaks to the tree at the end of the street with his bow in hand and a few arrows in a quiver on his back and Theodore keeps watch. )

Theodore: (whispering)

It's all clear.

Sebastian: (whispering )

What?

Theodore: (whispering )

It's all clear

Sebastian: (whispering )

Okay

(Sebastian climbs up the tree and looks at the top window of Edmond Harrington's house and can see light from a lantern in the study. Theodore sneaks to the base of the tree)

Theodore: (whispering )

Can you see him?

Sebastian: (whispering )

Not yet

Theodore: (whispering)

When he gets in view, shoot him

Sebastian: (whispering )

Okay, Wait I see him

( Sebastian pulls the bowstring and the arrow flies across the yard breaking the glass in the window and striking Edmund Harrington in the neck Edmund Harrington stumbles and falls across his desk and dies)

Sebastian: (whispering )

I got him!

Theodore: (whispering )

Is he dead?

Sebastian:

I think so, he fell on his desk.

Theodore: (whispering)

Where did you hit him?

Sebastian : (whispering)

The neck!

Theodore: (whispering)

Why not the head?

Sebastian: (whispering)

I aimed for the head, but it got him in the neck.

Theodore: (whispering)

Let's get the hell out of here!

Sebastian : (whispering)

Okay, did you get the shed at the steamboat docks open?

Theodore: (irritated tone and whispering)

Damn, I forgot!

Sebastian: (whispering )

Great, no what?

Theodore: (whispering)

Don't worry, I'll get it open.

(Theodore and Sebastian head to the steamboat dock to break into the shed. )

(Theodore looks around to see if anyone is around. )

Theodore: (Picking the lock with a pocket knife )

Theodore: (whispering)

I got it, Come on.

Sebastian : ( whispering)

Okay

Sebastian : (looking around the shed, to find a place to put the bow and the quiver of arrows)

Sebastian : (whispering )

I found a good spot!

Theodore: (whispering )

Where?

Sebastian : ( lifting a pile of burlap sacks)

There, the constables will find it eventually.

Theodore: ( whispering )

Good spot, let's get out of here.

Sebastian: (whispering)

Yeah, let's!

(Theodore and Sebastian leave the shed and Theodore relocks the door and Theodore and Sebastian head home for the night. )

(Curtain closes)
