The man I knew was strong

Fought the odds and believed in his creed
Humble enough to know when to go back home, call his mom
Who always told him: "There's always a place here for you and your son"
In that last call, you told me words common to most: "I love you, you know?"
So many times I didn't know why, I said: "Yes, of course! I always know you do."
Two weeks go by and you were gone in a flash, like the shine of a shooting star
Now I believe that wherever you are truly is paradise...
That is why no one has come back
