The truth, you see,

Take it off, you say?

Now, that I can't do.

For you see,

It is protecting me.

I wear my mask,

To stop the lies.

I'm alone, it's true,

To stay safe from you.

~

Don't lie to me,

I know you will.

I see your eyes,

They tell me lies.

You spoke to me,

Through your eyes.

But they saw through,

So I withdrew.

~

This mask of mine,

It keeps me safe.
