This is a collection of short stories take place in a Hong Kong marked by dispersion in 2020s. As people escape from this once familiar place, each individual experiences different encounters and emotions.

Allie Company is a unicorn that disrupts traditional markets with its revolutionary technology and is highly recommended by customers and investors, basking in glory and admiration. However, the arrival of one man drives the company from its peak to the abyss in just a few years.  Even with the best product on the market, how long can such an advantage last? Among timing, place, and people, which poses the most fatal damage to the brand among these three critical factors?

Through the author’s vivid portrayal of the internal power struggles, incompetent leadership, and imbalanced authority within Allie Company, the narrative reveals how these issues led the company from its former glory to rapid decline, with profits plummeting dramatically. Perjalanan

Dari jendela kereta, Maya memandangi pemandangan yang berlari cepat di luar. Sawah hijau membentang luas, dihiasi dengan pepohonan palem yang menari dalam hembusan angin. Setiap detik yang berlalu membawa kenangan indah dari perjalanan yang telah lama ia rencanakan. Perjalanan ini bukan hanya sekadar liburan, tetapi juga pencarian jati diri.

Maya memutuskan untuk pergi ke desa kelahiran neneknya, sebuah tempat yang belum pernah ia kunjungi sebelumnya. Neneknya sering bercerita tentang betapa indahnya kehidupan di sana—bagaimana langit di malam hari berbintang cerah, dan daun-daun jatuh mengubah warna seperti pelukisan alam.

Sesampainya di halte kereta, Maya disambut oleh udara segar dan aroma tanah yang basah setelah hujan semalam. Dia mengambil napas dalam-dalam, merasakan semangat baru mengalir dalam dirinya. Dengan langkah mantap, Maya berjalan menuju desa yang terletak beberapa kilometer dari sana.

Di jalan setapak yang dikelilingi oleh hijau pepohonan, Maya bertemu dengan seorang ibu tua yang sedang duduk di teras rumahnya. Ibu itu tersenyum lebar, seolah merasakan kehadiran Maya yang membawa aura segar. Maya menghampiri dan memperkenalkan diri.

“Selamat datang, Nak. Apa yang mencarimu di sini?” tanya ibu itu, suaranya lembut dan penuh kehangatan.

“Aku mencari akar keluargaku,” jawab Maya, “ini adalah tempat nenekku lahir.”

Ibu tersebut menatapnya dalam-dalam, seolah berusaha membaca cerita di balik mata Maya. “Ah, desa ini memiliki banyak cerita untuk diceritakan. Izinkan aku menunjukkanmu tempat-tempat indah.”

Maya mengangguk dengan semangat. Sejak saat itu, perjalanan Maya di desa tersebut tidak hanya sekadar eksplorasi fisik, tetapi juga perjalanan batin. Ibu tua itu, yang diperkenalkan sebagai Bu Surya, membawanya menyusuri jalur-jalur kecil, memperkenalkan Maya pada berbagai cerita dan tradisi lokal.

Mereka berjalan melewati ladang padi, di mana petani menyiram tanaman sambil menyanyikan lagu rakyat. Bu Surya mengisahkan bagaimana nenek moyang mereka bekerja keras dan menjaga kelestarian alam. Maya merasa terhubung lebih dalam dengan akarnya. Setiap cerita yang didengar membuat hatinya bergetar, menyadari betapa kayanya warisan budaya yang belum pernah ia cicipi.

Suatu malam, Bu Surya mengajak Maya melihat bintang-bintang. Mereka duduk di atas atap rumah, mendengarkan suara malam dan melihat langit berbintang. Bu Surya mulai bercerita tentang mitos-mitos lama yang menyelimuti bintang-bintang di angkasa. Maya terpesona, membiarkan imajinasinya melayang ke tempat-tempat yang jauh.

“Bintang-bintang adalah petunjuk, Nak. Mereka menunjukkan jalan hidup dan pilihan yang harus kita ambil," kata Bu Surya. "Terkadang, kita perlu melihat ke atas untuk menemukan arah yang benar.”

Maya terdiam, merenungkan kata-kata tersebut. Dia menyadari bahwa perjalanan ini tidak hanya tentang menemukan tempat, tetapi juga tentang menemukan diri sendiri. Dia mulai memahami bahwa akar, tradisi, dan sejarah adalah jembatan yang menghubungkannya dengan masa lalu dan memberi makna pada masa depan.

Setelah beberapa hari di desa, Maya merasa lebih kuat dan berenergi.
