> Bio: The eldest brother, he’s expected to take over ruling after Syubi steps down or passes away. Junizotz or Juni for short, showed his ability to summon small spikes of ice around age 5 and it grew from there. He has stayed near his little brother Marenzo and tried to teach him how to channel ice magic. This proved futile as Marenzo couldn’t even make a snowflake. When he was 10, his mother Syubi began speaking about having studied a resurrection spell. Juni read over her notes and questioned its safety. Syubi assured him it would be fine and would work. He still was hesitant and asked “are you sure you’re doing this for dad or yourself? He’s only been dead barely more than a year.”

Syubi explained it was for him and Marenzo, wanting Marenzo to know their father as Juni had. He was still unsure but when asked to help, he agreed to aid in Syubi’s plan. On the night of the resurrection, Juni raised complaints of Syubi bringing in 5 year old Marenzo. “You can’t have him here! He shouldn’t see this!” but was told that Marenzo needed to see powerful magic and witness a successful resurrection of the dead. “He shouldn’t be here.” Juni complained but was ignored. Watching a maid take Marenzo to the side, prisoners were brought in by the guards and forced to sit around the base of the altar where the former King laid. Juni now knew why months prior his mother had him practicing channeling raw magic without an exact element.

He helped her with channeling enough magic to perform the spell. The life was drained from the prisoners, much to Marenzo’s horrification to see until he turned and the maid held him close. Juni was disgusted and had to resist vomiting because of the sight. When it was done, the King had his body restored with a litter of shriveled corpses below him. Juni moved to investigate but was stopped by his mother who asked the maid with Marenzo to check on the body. Juni felt nervous and bad when Marenzo tried to hold onto the maid’s dress when she advanced forwards away from him.

The King sat up slowly and looked to be in a dazed state but alive. Juni took a step back and gulped. Something felt wrong to him. When the maid drew close enough and said the King’s name, the revived man opened his mouth and bit into her throat before ripping it out in a bloody mess. The wild means upon which this happened was like watching a wild animal starved for food go at a fresh meal. ‘Daddy stop!’ Juni heard Marenzo scream with tears streaming down his face, shaking at the horrifying sight. With speed unheard of for a human, the King tossed the maid’s corpse aside, swallowed the flesh and was advancing on Marenzo. ‘Move!’ Syubi shouted at Marenzo who was petrified. With swift thinking, Juni summoned forth 3 spears of ice which impaled their father just inches from the 5 year old. Not even 15 seconds later, the body and ice exploded into pieces with a crack of lightning magic.

As the crying, terrified Marenzo ran from the room messy with blood from his father, Syubi was cursing. ‘We didn’t have enough magic and we can’t even try again. All because Marenzo refused to do anything to defend himself’. Syubi complained. Juni frowned, his hands trembling and his palms reddish from forcing more magic than he should have after channeling raw magic. “He’s five. Give him some slack. Plus he just had his own dead dad brought back and nearly tried to kill him, before seeing his body be exploded into pieces and a bloody mess. I told you but you ignored me, mom.” Syubi was displeased and upset, slapping Juni with tears in her eyes. ‘I get it. I messed up but he should have at least ran but he stood still, making us have to do that.’ Syubi defended. Juni didn't buy it and went to help clean up the mess.

The mess was cleaned up and the bodies disposed of, burned until nothing but ash was left and that ash scattered with the King’s being returned to his gravesite. In his teens, Juni learned from further research and questions that, unless someone channeling life magic does the resurrection, the soul will not return. This leaves an empty vessel behind which will hunger for either death or to fill the void inside, which can never be filled as that void is from a lack of a soul. He continued to study and train with physical workouts to help his stamina for his magic channeling. He had promised himself to not use his ice for means of killing unless needed and, after Marenzo ran off at age 10 due to frustration of not coming to the level Juni was, Juni killed a man assaulting another while out looking around the marketplace.

Juni continues as his mother's right hand, learning all he can from her to take his place on the throne. Around age 24 he became engaged to another noble. In Book 1 he tries to deter Syubi from over reacting with Marenzo since he was gone for 10 years. In Book 2 he disguises himself as a demon and takes Marenzo’s pouch of jewelry, trying to help him be more truthful to his traveling partner Alura. This backfires and in Book 3, Juni tries to help Marenzo actually raise his stamina and strength so to rely less on the enchanted jewelry. He also has been setting back funds for Marenzo, who teleports them to himself and is used on the blackmarket to purchase himself some more enchanted jewelry as needed as well as living supplies like food
