The song my mama used to sing,

About a band of weary travellers,

Travelling through the uncharted seas,

Among the strange-looking seagulls,

Aimless but ambition full,

I wanted to be like them,

She let me be,

That was the last time she let me believed,

I was Stripped of my very identity,

Given dresses instead of trousers,

Oh, how I so begged,

But no one there to hear this small boy plea,

"You are a girl behave like one,

Don't sit like a boy, cross your leg,

I raised a beautiful young lady, not a rowdy lad"

No, I am a boy, don't fill my head with lies,

This is the only way I know how to sit,

I was always a boy,

Its that you choose to ignore me,

I am as much as a lad as those weary travellers,

Can't you see,

This is the true me,

Mama, I am right here,

Please just say once that you love me,

You remember you said you will always protect me,

Was it all a lie,

Why mother why,

I feel so alone now,
