“I love you too which is why I make this promise to you, the ones who did this will die. They haven’t met someone who has nothing left to lose like me.”
With that I stand up and go into the room I promised myself I wouldn’t enter again. Nothings changed my throwing knives are still hanging on the front wall, my poisons are in neat rows on the shelves, and my guns are in their cases. I go to the shelves and sift through the vials until I find my Devil’s Helmet extract, next I go to my throwing knives and grab the smallest one and the medium one, and finally I grab my sniper rifle. There’s three men who killed my girlfriend and I have three ways to kill them. First the riffle for the one who built the EMP conductor, then the Devil’s Helmet for the kidnapper, and finally my throwing knives for the torturer.
The three men who destroyed her were two of my friends, James and Arrow, and how they will pay. James was the one who kidnapped her and Arrow was the one who tortured her. The third one is a man who is just Arrow and James friend, he knew what it was going to be used for. The third man’s name is Henry. We’ll start with Henry. I pull out my phone and text Arrow.
Me ) “What are you doing today I’m feeling a bit sick?”
Arrow ) “Henry was going to hang out with me and James today. I was just about to ask if you wanted to join. I’m sorry you’re sick.”
Me ) “Sounds fun. Where are y’all going?”
Arrow ) “Were going to the golden louts in about forty minutes.”
Me ) “Well have fun!”
Arrow ) “We will.”
That’s perfect. I grab my riffle and head out the door to my car. I pull up about five blocks away from the golden lotus and walk into the building across from it. Then I wait. When I see the three of them I set my sight on Henry and fire at his shoulder. He goes down yelling and looking around while everyone else runs inside except for my two “friends”. Then I put another bullet in his other shoulder. They pin point me and I make it a quick final shot to his head and he slumps backwards, dead. I pack my stuff up and run. I make it to the next block over when they charge into the building I’d just vacated. I hope into my car and drive home. When I enter my house my phone buzzes and I pull it out.
Arrow ) “Somebody killed Henry! Can me and James come over? Please?”
Me ) “Of course! How was he killed?”
Arrow ) “Sniper but they sucked, it took them three shots to kill him.”
Me ) “They sound horrible. Come over whenever you want.”
Arrow ) “Mkay we should be there in about five minutes see you soon.”
Me ) “I’ll make some tea.”
I head into the kitchen and pour three cups of water and put the Devil’s Helmet extract into one of them for James. Then I put each of their favorite teas into the mugs and let them sit. I hear the doorbell and put my throwing knives in the waistband of my jeans and I throw the Devil’s Helmet vial into the garbage. I walk to the door and wrap my arms around James and Arrow letting them cry on my shoulders. “Shhhh, it’s okay. Everything will be alright. Come on I made some tea.” I say guiding them into the kitchen. I pick up the two mugs and give them to James and Arrow, I remembered which one has the Devil’s extract and gave it to James.
We’re all standing there when James drops his cup a few minutes later falling onto his knees. “My mouth, throat, and arms feel numb. What’s happening? What did you do Jason?!”
“Oh I just put some Devil’s Helmet extract into the tea, you might know it better as Wolf’s bane.” I say smiling sweetly.
Arrow runs to James side and glares up at me with death in his eyes. “Why would you do this?!” He demands.
“Do you remember the girl you tortured last night Arrow?” I ask him.
“She wasn’t human! Nor was she important at all!” Arrow exclaims.
My face darkens and I pull one of my knives from my waistband and throw it into his throat watching his eyes light up in fear. “She was my everything! I loved her! She was the most impotent thing in my life! How do you think I got out of the royal pockets? She saved me and you killed her! Now it’s my time to get my revenge and that’s what I’ve done to all three of you. I killed Henry, I killed James, and now I’m killing you.” I say my voice as cold as ice. I watch as the life bleeds out of Arrow then I gather everything important in the house, everything Mira gave me and her belongings along with a few clothes, and burned it all to the ground until there were no more bones or bodies left.
